If you were a coach or could leave a last thought to players what would it be? I would have to take a quote from my favorite coach and say: Move the ball, move the ball, keep it hot

cannot hear that enough
even if it was a perfect game until the end, and the guy straight up turned around and chunked the ball into the stands which lost the possesion for you to score... you all talk the fall. win as a team and lose as a team

I assume you mean lacrosse based, because coaching is more than teaching kids how to play a sport.

every player, every play... no matter if ur on the field. in the goal, on the sidelines, the jv kid getting water, the kid in the stands bc u got suspended.. in order for a program or team to be succesful.. it takes every player to work together on every play

In jr. high my first year of lax, our coach had this book of the samurai...or something (it had a lot of good quotes)

the was this one where is went: "even if one's head is cut off, it can still preform some function"

it basiclly means never give up..

our team mascot is the tiger just thought I'd let u know so it made more sense but he always tells us "Have u ever seen a tiger just flop over and die?!?! Then get out there and fight to make your school proud!"

"No matter who you are on this team, you are the idol of some JV or Jr. High kid"

uh, i would say it doesn't matter how hard you shoot because all that matters is if the ball goes in. i say that because i don't shoot hard, but i shoot smart and accurately...or at least i like to think so.
blckout's was pretty good "stop sucking." this isn't a coach quote or anything, but this is more of coach advice. if you use a tough love approach for your players and they don't like it, just change it. i don't like it when my coach yells at me when i make a mistake. in fact when he does, i intentionally make more just to piss him off...i have no idea why i just told you that story.

You don't score, until you score! (Lax coach in American Pie)...(assistant coach repeats) Until you score!

We're in it to win it! (common sports motto)

We stand alone together. (title of a military television documentary)

How hard would you play today, if you couldn't play tomorrow? (As seen on a t-shirt in memorial to a fallen teammate)

i thought this was a suicide post.

i did too haha.

my final thought would be "quack.......quack......quack.....quack....quack... quack..quack..quack..quack. quack! quack! quackquackquackquack GGGOOOOOOOOOOO DUCKS!!"

unless we were playing a team called the ducks. then it'd be

"quack.......quack......quack.....quack....quack... quack..quack..quack..quack. quack! quack! quackquackquackquack GGGOOOOOOOOOOO DUKE!!"

I remember it as:

I think it was from a really crappy 80's movie, The lunatic instructor from the first Karate Kid??

Personal fave: If you can't beat em on the ice/floor/court/field, beat 'em in the alley afterwards!

this to shall pass... as in your win/lose

my freashman football team consisted of about 40 kids w/ about 7 studs, we were up aganst a team with 90 and about 15 studs, it was our first game of the year and the whole 4 weeks before our coach was telling us of how the roman army went around marching all over there enemys till they found a little ****hole swamp scotland, they tried to take over the farmers and villagers, but instead they slaped the romans and sent them packin, the scotish were out maned and out weponed(?)

long story short we won league and lived happly ever after

A quote from NY Rangers Head Coach (said it when he was a coach at the Hartford Wolfpack) Tom Renney "It's not 12 games, it's 1 game 12 times" which basically means play your game day in and day out and you'll kick booty.

A few others I enjoy spouting to my players from time to time:

"The only easy day was yesterday"

"Winning isn't everything, the desire to is"

And the ever popular "Offense wins games, Defense wins championships"

its not worth playing if you are not going to try to be the best you possibly can.
and a quote from me,
just because the road doesnt lead to where you thought it would doesn't mean you can't be happy where you end up
