What is the point of a nylon shooter? and I am stringing my razer pro w/ 10d hard, what should I have for the shooters ( 1 straight, 1 U) ?

Most of the time people put a really tight nylon at the top of the mesh it will eliminate lip.

i know that but could i substitute it with something else?
