Allright just another bored night. The Oilers are losing :crying: . I just recieved this razor pro today in a trade. So I decided I was going to pinch it. It is a factory strung Davis Dog RP. I wanted to share the pics with everyone to see what you though. Yes I did pinch it with the pocket in it. And no the pocket is not ruined. Nor is it an illegal pinch as you will soon see. And even though it may look uneven its not. It is a good symetrical pinch. So here you go.

I have a razer pro and I wish mine were that pinched. What'd trade for a mint-condition razer pro RP? Your soul?

the pocket doesnt look ver y rockit pocket like. it looks kinda sloppy and the knots dont look tight. but i know it is by rockit pocket by some of its unique characteristics. nice pinch!

I know its not one of Rocket pockets better stringings. I have seen a few so so jobs by them lately. But what can you do. Supply and damand right?. Still needs the shooters put in and the leathers need to be tied of correctly at the bottom. But i'm waiting for the pocket to dry alittle more.

Yeah Glax16 I'm hoping it wont warp itself. But only time will tell. I wont be faceing off with it so theres a plus. I'm sure the pinch will expand/relax itself slightly in a few days. I just pinched it an hour or so ago.

Added one more pic too.

I think you need more stitches. And more shooters ( you said you would do that) It also looks kinda uneven, could be better but overall nice job. The pinch is fantastic, what method did u use

Stringing is from factory. Its not mine. I pinched it in the oven. Done it that way for years. Never tryed the boiling method. Im sure its just as good. But it probably would have messed the pocket up if I had. I did one time Use a microwave to pinch a stick some years ago. And well I will never do that again.

How hot did you set the oven? And how long did you leave it in? I want to try it on an old broken cyber.

nice pinch, but I wonder, is that a piece of sidewall as a nylon shooter? Seems to be. RP since this massive order surge has gotten a little lazy with their work, but thats how it is. They say it takes them at most 1 hour to string RP's (I asked hehe, and any variation i.e davis-dog, george etc.) but when you work 8 hour days and you have to do 8-12 per day, it can get kinda hard. How long was it from the time yo ordered it and the time you got the RP in it?

yea just like auburn said, how hot do u set ur oven, cause im thinkin of pinching mine, but dont want to ruin it....id think a low temp and leave it for longer to evenly heat up the head rather than blast it with heat?

I set the oven at 650. I leave the oven door open and my head on the shaft. I move the oven racks as high up as I can or take them out. I then hold the head in the oven carefull not to touch anything. I do this for about ten minutes or so. rotating it every minute or so. I then go directly to the sink and rinse it in cold water. I have never cracked a head doing this. And i have done it hundreds of times. You can cool it however you prefer. The reason I do it this way. Because when plastic is hot and then cooled quickly. It has a tendency to stay that way. Similar to plastic injection molding. Hot melted plastic is shot into a liquid nitrogen ( or equivilent ) cooled mold. Plastic goes from melted to solid in secs.

Nicely done. Did you kind of sweat bullets hoping that the pocket wouldn't melt or mold or anything?! Ha jk, but still, that is really nice. Did you angle the scoop at all? Can't really tell from the pics.
