I have this random question... I know that Attack, Middie, and D's pockets can be illegal. But what about a goalie's pocket? Can it be illegal?

The stick can be illegal due to head dimensions or shaft length, but the pocket can be as deep as you want.

Actually there aren't any head dimension restrictions , just how long the overall stick is in NHFS rules I believe.

Take that smiley back, because you're wrong.
Rule 1, Sction 17: The goalkeeper's crosse must be between 10 and 12 inches wide (and, as mentioned, between 40 to 72 inches long). At least according to NCAA rules.

Whoops I was looking at the NHFS rulebook, I didn't find anything in there.

Look harder, because it's in there (Rule 1-6-1).

Is there any rule about having a pocket that is so deep you can fold the mesh back over into the sidewall and have the ball sit there? I'm assumin that would be withholding.

you could have a giant pocket that goes down to the ground like a butterfly net, but u will never be able to throw with it

Yes, it does. Please ignore the incorrect responses. There is nothing in the rulebook that says the goalie is exempt from the rollout test, so these people telling you you can have a butterfly net are just wrong.

I think the rule is like 4 balls deep, but that would be impossible to throw with.

This is incorrect. Please read the thread.
