I have dura mesh right now and its working pretty good for me, but I want to improve my game even more. I've been told traditional shoots harder, passes more accurately, and is better for face-offs, but that it doenst hold the ball nearly as well as dura mesh does. I DON'T want to sacrafice ball control. Do you think the hold on the ball with traditional is significantly worse than dura?

not entirely, i had to make a concious effort for maybe a week after switching from dura to trad and now its just natural to control the stick a tad more carefully. It definitly improves throwing accuracy and speed though.

whoever told u traditional doesnt hold as good is stupid that is the whole point of it to have a good hold on the ball. Dura mesh is more used for a quick release and better shot you just have to decide which is more important.

traditional is the best but most people are not experienced with it and cant string it so they use mesh. I love it and it shoots harder and crisper

is it harder to catch with traditional? would it be harder to catch fast passes on the cut with traditional or is it about the same?
i have both but i strung the traditional myself so it is bad.
the reason i like mesh better is because a two year old could customize it. all you do is move shooting strings, add more or take some away, tighten or loosen the sidewall strings. i think its alot more difficult with traditional.
and im pretty sure its easier to catch with traditional. its kind of softer, so the ball doesnt bounce around and stuff when you catch it.
