whenever doing group lessons or individual lessons, it's a good idea to have a small group do one activity, like a passing drill, while you work with 1 or 2 individually.

Actually its better to have them all do the same thing like a passing drill then give them each 1 on 1 help through out the drill

Out of curiosity, how much are you charging for individual lessons and where are you located? Or, if you're a player, how much have you/would you pay for private lessons from a coach or your current coach?

How old are the kids that you are teaching? I have some field and box drills in my webshots.

I got $40 an hour for giving private lessons to a kid who was going up to boarding school and was looking to pick up the sport.
I guess it depends on how many people there are that are qualified to teach (not many princeton players in SC), how much the players (or their parents) are looking to invest, etc.
Basically, if you just go out there and play catch with them or something without a definite plan, the parents (and the kid) aren't gonna want to come back. What I did was bring out a big bag of balls (80) and some cones and worked on shooting and passing with the kid, put him through some combo drills (scoop up gb, turn, and shoot, switch hands and shoot, etc). Basically, if you approach it professionally and have the hour lesson planned (like when you coach) then the parents and the kid are going to recognize that and appreciate it. Also, remember to make sure the kid has fun, since he's going to enjoy it more and want to come back if you make it fun for him.
It's also better if you have two kids, because then you can make up games so that they can compete against each other...
