This is a question about box lacrosse, is it legal to play with out the rubber ear things on your helmet? like on the Jofa 690 and bauer helmets?

NO! it is not keep it on, i got called at a tourny five of our players had to sit the first half until the parents went to the sporting good strore and got some and besides its not like it restricts you or anything

in my case it kind of does, i remember hearing something about this a while back that it was okay i just wanted to make sure...i will have to find my rule boox then

Its not legal. Even if it is I wouldn't its a good way to get your ears torn off

Hmmm im not sure if you are getting what i am saying.....im not talking about the plastic ear peices i mean the little rubber things that hang down that the chin strap is on

You don't have to have the rubber rings but if you don't have them you will need a four point football chin cup. if you just have a 2 point chin cup connected farther back on the helmet where a hockey face mask attaches then you need a second chin strap according to the CLA which attaches to the rubber ring. yeah i have the 20/20 mask and i want to get a 4 point chin strap so i was wondering if i could just take off the rubber rings so they wouldent get in the way and i wouldent have that chin strap just sittin there
