What do you guys think about this team? I understand its JuCo, but they cleaned house all year. They went 18-0, and won 17 of those games by 10 goals or more. They outscored there opponets 444-80. This puts there average game score at 25-4.
Add on to all this they won the national championship game 30-6 over suffolk. Could this be the best JuCo team ever?
I mean look at these Scores (http://www.laxpower.com/update06/binmen/XOCCXX.PHP)

I don't really follow JuCo too much, but my God....
Herkimer was the only team that came close and they still lost by 12. 12! Thats pretty amazing.
Also, don't they have a Bucktooth going to Syracuse next year? I hope he was the reason for these massacres.

Ya they play at my school and are so good because the cny players that need to get there grades up before a 4 year college go there. They own all and many people from my school go there that need to get their grades up.
p.s. They pay to play on our field and get top priority which means if they have a game we cant use the turf. Stupid school and their need for profits.

If anyone wants to do any research on the team, you'd see what the roster is comprised of. Candian junior lax stars. The guys that rip up the OLA and BCLA junior A ranks every year are the main ones who do well for Onondaga. Sid Smith, Bucktooth, Squire, if these kids go to play lax in college, it often ends up at Onondaga. That's why they're so successful, they feed off these kids' talents.

They have about 8 native american players on the squad.

I'll be going to most of the CCBC Essex home games (a few of my friends will be going there). JuCo is solid lacrosse. Usually it's for people whose grades arent good enough to get into a 4 year university right out of HS. Our coach played at CCBC Essex and he transfered to UMBC. And he is better than Jesse Schwartzman. Essex goalie 2 years ago (I think, Billy Stadler?) He was sick. I went t CCBC Essex's camp, and I got to shoot on him, and watch him play, and I was blown away by the talent that goes through JuCo. I think that going to a JuCo is the best bet if you can't get into a DI school right out of HS. I say this because the first two years of college are the same everywhere (except the military academies). You'd be playing some fine lacrosse, honeing your skills with great coaches, like Brian Duncan (Head coach at CCBC Essex), and Herkimers coach.
Alot of people laught at JuCo because they think anything lower that DI is garbage. And alot of the kids that go through JuCo schools go on to play at DI or upper DIII schools.

i played with most of the players on the teams a coulpe years ago(grades werent good so i couldnt play the season)...but i know most of th eplayers on the team and let me tell you they could play in DI and succeed....they scrimmaged ithaca a top dIII team and i dont remember the exact score but beat em by like 7 or 8. let me tell you these kids are sick....the kids from canada are nasty too....theres one goin to su to play d and hes even better than bucktooth.....their goalie stephan schroeder was recruited to play at Su outta hs but his grades were bad so he went to occ

Monroe lost 16 to 6......my SUNY degree tells me that a (10) goal defeat! MCC gave them the best game all year. Didn't back down one bit, but OCC was way too strong at every position. 2007 isn't looking any better for all others either.
P.S. Bucktooth plays defense.........just the facts. :nahya:

it's not always about grades for JUCO.. I too went through the JUCO ranks before moving on to D2
It's a chance for lesser-known players to get some real college experience right out of the gate.. a lot of 4 year programs will usually see many freshmen and sophomores sitting the bench for 2 years.. a juco program lets good players see the field and get playing/leadership skills right off the bat.. these kids are often some of the best transfers the NCAA gets.. they have playing experience, and that's something you can't replace..
Plus they can get the standard classes out of the way.. and it's a lot cheaper than regular 4 year colleges
