My top 3 candidates are:
1.Ryan Powell; he's on fire right now and is the sole reason san francisco is doing so well, completely carrying his team
2. Connor Gill: Consistently putting up 5 or 6 points a game, really making his teammates better
3. Brodie Merril: An absolute groundball machine, you really have to watch him play to understand how much he does for his team

Garritty and Dougherty both have a chance to win, but it doesn't seem too likely.

I'm gonna defiantly have to say Brodie Merril. Like Biopro said he gobbles up ground balls and plays fantastic defense. He's like the Ben Wallace of lacrosse.

Doc's a bum. He's talented, but a complete a-hole. You should've seen him, he was slashing the back of attackman's legs while the play was on the other side when the Barrage played Boston. I lost all respect for him. Besides, Garritty and the Cannons beat him and the Barrage twice.

Definately agree with you there. Brodie Merril is an animal on groundballs, sparks fast breaks, and on top of all that, plays amazing D!

I think USA will win the All-Star game, not to sure about the cup, and Ryan Powell or Conor Gill fo MVP.

If you guys don't explain your picks for now on (like just writing a name), then it's getting deleted. This is a DISCUSSION forum, not just a poll.

I agree with Brodie Merrill, he is unstoppable on GB's, he is the best maker of fast breaks and scoring attempts, and he is an AMAZING defender.

Ryan Powell. Without him San Francisco has maybe 1 win. He is averaging better than 8 points per game and is connecting on better than 60% of his shots. Ridiculous!

Doc is not even remotely "a complete a-hole". Doc is one of the nicest, most genuine players I've ever met. Don't take one play on-field in the middle of a game and use it to wrongly characterize a player.

I am a Cannons guy all the way, but Ryan Powell has to be the pick at this point.

Connor Gill is the best pure attackman in MLL, his passing skills are unmatched and is a better quarterback if you will, he can stand in there and take so much punishment and deliver a pass on the money. Did he try out for team USA?

Powell is doing every thing right now. When he was in Boston against the Cannons I think he had 8-9 points. He is doing that every game. He is a lot bigger Than I thought as well

Denver does look like that they are going to be tough, but I question their d

Ryan Powell is a beast, if he doesn't win the MVP award I will be very suprised.

Connor was selected to the tryout but chose not to go.

I would have to say MVP goes to Ryan Powell, he is basically the poster boy of the MLL now and is putting up insane numbers.

As for Connor Gill and Brodie Merril I think they will win offensive and defensive players of the year respectivly.

I also agree with Ryan Powell, he has the highest numbers (Points and Goals) and has carried his entire team to the point they are at as of now.

I guess ryan powell is pretty much the favorite! lol

Brownie for MVP. So far he is leading the online poll (by only 3%) over Ryan Powell. I think it will come down to who wins the Denver / SF playoff. I know Matt, never met Ryan but I just have to go with Brownie.

Most goals - 38
Highest shot percentage - 51%
Most Game Winning Goals - 4

how can you say ryan powell is on fire, did you see the came they played against chicago? He was playing like a 5th grader trying to run through chicagos entire defense. No doubt that he's a great player but after his performance in that game i would not make him a top 3 candidate. He didn't have a point until the final minutes of the game!!

i would say mike law for mvp. He's been a huge part of the success that the outlaws have had for their first season in the mll

Your very bad at the whole "knowledge thing". San Fransisco has a very strong team, with Eric Martin and Alex Cade leading the defense, Ryan Powell on Attack and to many great names to say for midfield. A team cant win with just one person and that was proven when Sean Morris failed to get Chicago a single win.

are you crazy the machine have quite a few good players (5 or 6) but they cant just play a whole game and they cant put it together as a team for a whole game either

thats why they didnt win a game

Most of the players on their roster are serviceable but none can bind this team together. A lot of them are guys who aren't ready to lead a team.

Morris is still developing as a player. Leveille is coming off a year where he gets perfect feeds from Gill and nobody covering him, alongside Millon and Gill, two MLL MVP's. Shanny was an amazing college player but he's never been able to step it up in the pros. Both Gabel and Murtha are not ready to start in the pros, period. Rassas is aging, Culver and Flannery have the same issues as Morris, Davis is IMO the most overrated player in the league, and then there's a bunch of "loose end" players who have never made an impact in the MLL.

San Francisco suffers from the same problem, but they have a unifying force (Ryan Powell) that carries their team, along with a very talented coach (Silcott). Unfortunately, Kevin Finneran is too fresh of a coach and lacks any real experience. Sure, the guy was a decent MLL player, but his total coaching experience is HS lacrosse? And he's their GM too? That's just a sign for disaster. Next year, they'll probably be a 4-5 win team. Morris will be better, so will Culver and Flannery. But they won't be a hugely successful team until their youth emerges, they find a legitimate goalie, and they have a solid everyday starting lineup.

Sean Morris for ROY. He was amazing in the game against the dragons a few weeks ago, and the announcers couldn't stop talking about him

mvp- michael watson. he's really one of the hardest workers on tghe riptide, and a major part of their turnaround

on d, it's gotta be brodie, there is no other. there's literally no comparison to the kid, no one does what he does.

as for the rookie, which i think is probably the hardest, i say sean morris (go u-mass) because he has really been there for the machine. matt ward or bill mcglone because they're keeping the bayhawks name. or possibly poskay, because he's a much apreciated spark in the offensive boom that is the boston cannons
