I heard that the Columbus Landsharks might be sold to the Minnesota Wild ownership and move to St. Paul, MN next season. I hope this happens. A chance for lacrosse to grow in Minnesota.

I don't think Columbus is going anywhere anytime soon.

Maybe Minnesota will get the Ottawa or NJ team.

well idk about the ottawa team, but NJ is new, theyre not goin newhere. and columbus will more then likely be around for a bit to try to pick up attendence. i think they may have like a 5 year contract or sumthing, b/c next to albany they had the lowest attendence, and im pretty sure theyre moving albany next year out west.

yeah, they just moved Albany out to San Jose. Oh well, 4 new york teams was too much anyway.

yeah, i hope they also just get sum new teams in rather then move a couple to other places. but idk if they really have that kind of money, even though that would be cool to see more teams created and see how they compete.

I think they should just leave all the teams in the same city for 2 years. That hasn't happened in awhile.

yeah, that makes sense. all the moving is kinda busy, they should just lay back a bit and relax.

Here is a link that reveals many of the happenings this offseason for the NLL.

From what I'm hearing, Minnesota is all but dead for this season. Columbus is still being sold, but will probably go to the NHL BlueJackets, who will keep them in Columbus.

keeping them in columbus is very good news to me. detroit got rid of their team a few yers ago, and i dont have the gas money to drive to philly all the time. if they moved columbus, idk wat id do. its bad enough we arent getting the MLL team for a lil while now.

The Minnesota deal fell through when Mike Gongas (owner of both the New York Saints, and Columbus Landsharks) failed to work out a deal with the ownership group of the Minnesota Wild. The exact details I'm not sure of, but basically the money hungry (and for that matter horrible businessman) Gongas decided he didn't like the options the Wild gave him for either team. Gongas is still looking for investment groups to take his teams off his hands, but its looking bad for both. The Saints will be playing next season, most likely not on the Island though....don't know exactly where. The Landsharks are supposidly going to be bought up by the local Columbus BlueJackets NHL team. If that happens, the 'Sharks stay put. If not...they could end up in the NLL graveyard as another team ceasing operations. Sad but true.

As for Ottawa....you're guess is as good as mine.

And New Jersey, from all I've heard, will be in Phoenix...but nothing has been said at all yet.
