I know theres an exact thing but his body type is not similiar. 5'9 probaly will grow two or three inches over summer, 135 lb, and my mile is about 8:45, not great, and sprints probaly 100 meter 14 seconds, so im not really fast but not slow, i have a really good shot from far and close, im a good hitter, was position should i play, (i dont want to be goalie or d) so its between attack and middie

p.s. ive played box for two years

im sorry but with a mile time of +8 minutes, you are slow. i run a 5:46 and im not even the fastest on my team. i would suggest defense even though you dont want to play it.

Wow you sound a lot like me. I'd play attack, it's the most fun in my opinion.

alright bro...it sounds like you are very light, so its not weight holding you back from being faster. it sounds like you should workout a little bit(not trying to offend you, just helpin ya out)---im 5'11 and 150 lbs, and thats pretty normal. i know this wasnt your question but buy some weights or something and work on some stuff(start slow)....but more importantly do a lot of running, your gonna need to be in good shape.....but after that, it sounds like u would be a better attack. i play attack and it is fun, but dont think that u shouldnt be in as good of shape not playing middie, you shouldnt be avoiding middie because of the running, even tho a lot of people do. the reason i say attack is because if you have a good shot, dont waste it, but work on it even more. and also because if your mile time is true, the goal of being a middie would be harder to reach-not impossible tho. whatever you choose have fun with it, no matter what you choose you need to be in great shape to get playing time and practice a lot.

well i dont think you really have to worry about your mile time all that much, lacrosse is more a bunch of short sprints if you know what i mean.well if you ahve good stick skills and vision etc. then i would say attack but you have a good shot far out so maybe middle. Im not quite sure just try them out i guess see which one works. and it might just be me and my build but people kinda seem light, it could be cause hes 14 but i have seen alot of these help me im blah threads and everyone seems to be really skinny im 5'7 like 180 i was 190 this winter all muscle baby, its probably cause i lifted alot but still. i play midfield by the way oh watev good luck to you hope you find your position i recommend hittin up some wieghts help you out alot

edit: mile time is not a very good indicator of overall performance in a game like especially like lacrosse where stick skills are the most important thing. i know people who are the most unathletic kids but they are really good lacrosse players, so just get 2 hands good stick skills and ull be fine.

well how are your stick skills, that would be a big part of being an attackmen or midfielder (usually attackmen have better stick skills)

well.. I can tell you, there is a severe lack of information... anymore, almost any body type can play any position... and no one knows anything more than what you told us about your shooting, cradling, dodging, field presence, etc.. In my opinion, every lacrosse player thinks they have a fast shot, and can rip corners both in close and from outside. We all know that this can be far from the truth.

If you want to be an attackman, you need to be extraordinary at protecting your stick, seeing the field, knowing the offense, and finishing.

If you want to be a middie, you have to worry about ground balls, endurance, playing defense, and retaining posession of the ball.

If I were you, I wouldn't worry about what position to play. I would hit the wall, the gym, the footwork drills, and the goal.. the rest will just fall into place

Thats weird, how you guy interpreted me as really skinny, I'm not, I'm not buff, nor fat, I'm average, I'm strong, but not a great distance runner, box really helped my sprints

about the stick skills, i play box, and score alot, so my accuracy is good, as are fakes,

if the gave some more insight

alright but i still think its attack you should stick with.....if your strong, focus on running(endurance and sprints) for now. but working out never hurts. if you can fake and score a lot, u should play attack....make sure you have great stick protection though. size is a factor in position, but not as big of one as some people might think. you can be skinny and play defense, im not gonna say u can be fat to play middie or attack though because no one on a lacrosse team should really be overweight. its mostly based on your skills so from what you said, attack is good for you.

just casue u run a slow mile time doesnt make you slow in sprints....well when i was conditioned my best mile time was around 5 minutes but i just dropped off to 7 cause i hate running and in my opinion it doesnt help my lax game....i sprint in lacvrosse i dont run 2 miles constantly at a slow jog.....but i dont run a good mile time now...it would be close to his but i can smokw ppl in a 40 yard dash...close to 4.5

u sound really slow. i'm 5'4, 14 n run 6:30 mile. u should go for attack or D where u can just sprint every once in a while instead of running all the time
