I was looking at the latest NHL transactions and I descovered this at the bottom of the page

http://www.nhl.com/news/2006/07/276832.html

Why do you think NHL is reporting MLL news now?

Hmmm thats a good find. Maybe there is some affiliation between the MLL and the NHL...

or it could have been just a cut and paste error from someone updating transactions off the AP wire

I think it is a mistake too. The only way to find out for sure is to e-mail them, or wait to see if they have any info on the next lacrosse trade.

if its not what stegmakk suggested it is.. maybe it has something to do with warrior. warrior owns and runs the MLL and is just now makin a big impact in the stick department of hockey

well this is alittle diff. but i was watching a galaxy mls soccer game, they were at the home depot center playing and on the field i saw a faint mll riptide logo on the field. it was interesting, especially since they dont play on the galaxy's field.

warrior owns and runs the MLL and is just now makin a big impact in the stick department of hockey The MLL part is semi true, they sponsor the equipment, and require players to use it, but other than that, im pretty sure that its individuals, as well as groups that put money into it. As for the stick market, there are quite a few pros that use them, but they are nothing compared to Easton and CCM.

well...yes...there is no way the NHL is actually reporting on horse racing on purpose...
these segments are NOT written by the NHL...
if you notice these are copied from the CP (my guess is it stands for Canadian Press...just like AP is by the Associated Press)...
sooo...when someone is cutting and pasting from the Hockey section of the CP news wire, maybe they cut too much...or if it is an automated process, the program is catching one extra line.
