I played lacrosse in highschool for 2 years, freshman and sophomore year and my ice hockey league folded so I played hockey for the last 2 years and here I am 2 years after graduation. I've been dying to play again and have been playing around quite a bit lately in my backyard stickhandlng and shooting, although I cant do much else since nothing fits except for my gloves and the fact I have only recently moved to this area I don't know anybody that plays. I'm looking for any sort of league to join somewhere around Yorkville(where I live), Plainfield, Naperville, Fox Valley, anything in that general or surrounding area would work well. If anybody can point me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it.
Also if there are any shops where I can get some decent gear let me know as well, I know any generic sports stores wont have anything above low end stuff from 2-3 years ago.

Went over to Lacrosse America and picked up a new head and picked out some new gear I'd like to get if I can start playing.
Anybody have any other info for the area? Are there any mens leagues in spring or just the 1 or 2 summer leagues? So far lacrosseamerica is the only chicago area lacrosse I've found. If I could even just find a bunch of guys that scrimage and play for fun somewhere around here till the summer that would work for me just so I could start playing. The boredom in this area is killing me...

i found the Chicago Lacrosse Club (http://www.chicagolacrosse.com/) and the Lincoln Park Lacrosse Club (http://www.lplax.com/) and you could also check out the Chicago Chapter of US Lacrosse (http://www.uslacrossechicago.org/) and maybe join....
edit: (you are looking for club league right?) anyway, also found the Windy City Lacrosse Club (http://www.windycitylacrosse.com) and the The North Side Tribe (http://www.northsidetribe.com)
Im sure a couple of those have spring seasons..... good luck getting back with lax!

Hey man,
Summer there's always a ton of leagues flying around (I did Chicago Select this summer, which has a team in Fox Valley...there's also Team Illinois and box during the summer), but I'm not really sure about spring. There's a decent amount of high schools with lacrosse, so come spring, it becomes a lot more difficult to find a league for high school aged kids.
Winter, Lacrosse America does quite a bit of indoor stuff...I played indoor at the Darien Sportsplex. They have box during the summer, but not during the winter there...hrmm...
If you were a bit closer to Chicago, I'd say come check out my team, as we try to scrimmage every sunday with another school...
Hope things work out for you bruh. There's quite a bit of Illinois/Chicago area lacrosse.
