Halo overrated trash

I know this is going to piss a lot of people off but if you look at halo it is a peice of junk. And for those that say it changed FPS, the games that did that were half-life,golden eye and perfect dark. Now back to why halo sux.... First the levels, if you like them thats good cause they are all the same, also whenyou drive its about as close as you can get to being drunk on the freeway. I give it that it is th best console online shooter but still its get way more hype then it should be given.

Also just to throw this out GTA(all of them) suck as well.

ya the campaign isn't that good but halo 2 on xbox live is the best game. I don't get how u cant like gta though it's just overall a fun game.

yea halo online is the best but when you play the levels it is boring. as for grand theft auto i dont understand how u dont like that game it is the best game ever... ... .. .. . .

GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas are awsome games. It's important to rember that this is mainly preference.

online is fun so is LAN thow with like at least two xboxes and like eight people, and if your playing the campain for your first time or you haven't beat it before then i think its fun because the levels are big and theres like skulls to find and stuff, but and campain gets boring after you've beat before, except for outskirts, i could play that for a long time

When halo 2 first came out it was sick, now i dont even play it, it collets dust. Ill give one thing to halo, the best menu screen on live you can run everything from it its also so esay to join a game, some games take for ever.

Halo didn't evolve the FPS genre?

How about the two weapon, two grenade system? Halo was first to use that and now every FPS uses it pretty much.

Vehicles in an FPS? Halo is more than an FPS -- you play a large map, and before you get sniped, you hop in a tank and blow away 5 people at once before a Banshee flies in and takes you out from above.

The carnage is cinematic. I love when you are driving away with the flag and rockets fly over your head, or your team mate gets blown up right next to you while you escape. Call me a Halo nerd I really don't care. Halo 2 is the greates online FPS of all time. Best single player FPS of all time? Halo 1.

As for GTA. I always buy them, and just enter cheat codes so I can blow people away and get the highest wanted level and cause havoc, get bored with it, and sell it a few months later. There's just nothing to hold my interest there.

Wasn't it someone from Microsoft that said without Halo... the original X-box wouldn't have been anywhere near as popular as it is today? It really is the game that defined the X-Box.

Looks like somebody just sucks at Halo. And yeah the campaign (sp?) mode blows, but it's one of the best, if not THE best, games on Live.

Yea, ok, the vehicles were in Battlefeild 1942, you could duel weild in CS and goldeneye. The only reason it became so popular was because it wasthe only descent game at the xbox launch... and as for the greatest online FPS of all time CS BF2 and DoD are ten times better at least. As for GTA if you cant do one thing really good do a bunch of things mediocure, lame action, lame racing, and a rip off the godfather and scarface plus every other gang movie evermade.

Yes, You could. But i dont think you could alternate which gun shoots when. Halo you can shoot with one hand, than the other, or shoot both at once. Im not sure you had that option in previous games.

I'd rather stick to my PC with America's Army and Battlefield 2.

The thing that I really think defines halo 2 as a great game is multi player. With all the other games like cs or dod you can't have your friends over and play unless you do a lan thing which is riduculos if you just want to chill with some friends. x-box live even with halo can only compare to steam in that it is easier to use, but online computer games rape halo online

Ok, so your only point and gripe taken out of your statement is "the driving sucks" Usually when you are trying to make point, it's best to actually support it.

Halo has had a lot of influence on games... the health system, weapon capacity, online aspects etc.. are popping up in a bunch of games today.

Actually, either WoW or Starcraft are the most popular games on the planet.

No console game will ever compete with the popularity of a good PC game. There are just that many more PC gamers out there.






Oh, and driving in Halo 2 is really really easy to do very precisely. You just have to learn how to master the E-break with the hog, or the boosters with the Ghost, and you can control the vehicles very well.

alright halo wasnt really first to put in the double grenade stuff considering u can do that in like rainbow 6
and i wouldnt say the driving in halo isnt that bad the warthog is very crazy but what would u rather have an amazing, perfect handle that can run most people over or something that can get u from a to b with kills from ur turret instead
its all about balance in halo
the guns r balanced nicely because most can counteract each other
the vehicles handle pretty well which isnt really the main part of the game

1. In Halo 1, yes very much so thats teh games biggest fault, Halo 2, not at all.
2. No, I think you just suck at driving.

Any other reasons why it sucks? Those dont really warrant the harshness.

Halo 2 is a great game, socom 3 is better. Halo 2 is not repetive at all. Tell me one part that is the same thing. GTA is defiantly the most repitive game I have seen. All you do is drive around and shoot/drive people. If you have ever played Halo 2 online you will see it is awesome game.

How is socom a pain. I can understand the ladders are but joining games???

The thing about Halo is that in Halo 1 you could paly the story, but it would get boring, you would invite frinds over to play multiplayer so many times that everyone gets sick of playing. Halo 2 is the same thing, unless you have X-box Live. Oh no wait! You go online and play and get owned by people who have nothing to do except play Halo 2 all day and get really good. So the message basically is the Halo series gets old real fast.

Heh, I dont have live and I thought the levels and campaign were boring and thrown together. I just gave it to a friend one day since he like it. Haha, most of my other friends were disapointed since we they come over we can't play it and my friend who Igave it to moved :( Sad b/c he moved not cause I gave away halo.
