I am doing a RP. It is my first time doing anything custom. it seems to throw perfect with out shooting strings and the ball seems to release just fine. do the shooting strings really make all that much of a differents in the shot?

Well shooting strings do not only add whip and hold they can make for a very smooter relise if you get tighter as you go up because it makes almost a ramp and holds the pocket better. But if you like it with out just do that.

if it throws fine, then leave it. if it doesnt throw fine, add it some shooters.

Add shooters. If it's better than before, leave 'em in. If it's not as good, take 'em out. Common sense.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, that pocket. Well, it looks to me like it will develop whip after awhile, so I'd put 3 straight shooters in, just so they will be easily adjusted.

Well even though I voted yes I don't think shooters are neccesary in all situations. SO for your custom don't throw in shooters till you need them.
