Ball/Knife Trick

i have a question about the ball/knife trick. Everytime i go to string a custom with the ball and knife trick i get through the channel all the way untill i get to the ball. Then what do i do? i cant string because the ball is in my way. also if i wanted to string a 4 leather custom my outside leathers always get messed up like the are too tight or something but there not. Can someone help me and post a demenstration or something?

Well for a custom you should string the channel first and then but the ball knife in. When you are stringing the other parts of the custom take it out, string it, and then put the ball knife back in and tighten/loosen the nylons as needed.

ya after u string the channel and the leather is loose enough for a good pocket then u tie the leather off to keep it like that and take the ball out then string the rest of it

hey lowell! i always lay my leathers down flat like regular traditional and do the center channel. then i put the ball/nife in and string around that. try to keep all the strings even and tight. the nylons will always loosen up/move a lot after you throw with it. keep the sidewalls tight and dont worry about shooters untill after the pockets strung. btw lowell...the custome im going to put in your head is going to be amazing! tis a little something i thought of.
