We should try to get together an ultimate training program for lacrosse.
Maybe geared to all 4 positions..
any suggestions?

that would be hard, since everyone's different, many users are new to lifitng while alot of others are advanced, also people have different goals such as weight loss, gaining speed, gaining power
i dno just a thought

yeah i was pretty much just wanting to figure out what i should be doing because ive only played 1 year which was on a jv team.. i didnt play that much so i wanna do as much as i can over the offseason to have a shot at varsity
i just didnt want to be selfish and center the whole question around myself

You can't really gear a program to a position in my opinion. It should be geared towards as jmalins said an overall goal.

well my overall goal is to be able to compete on a varsity level, is that too vague of a goal?

varsity is the top level of highschool lacrosse, usually there is a freshman team, then a junior varsity and then varsity being the best of the 3
also how big/fast are you already, depending on your weakness wouldnt you want to work your weak areas more then your already strong areas

In my personal opinion, that is ridiculously vague, and I agree with Jmalins.
What part of you is currently unable to compete on a varsity level? Speed? Strength?
I mean, I know for me personally, I'm not nearly as strong as I need to be, so I'm currently powerlifting for all around strength. But I don't know what it is you need to work on to help you compete better.
As Jmalins said, the problem is that all people different.

yeah, im pretty fast, but still need to work on my speed..as well as my endurance
im about 5'4ish and weigh like 130. I am currently lifting 5 days a week and trying to gain muscle mass..
the hardest aspect of the game is actually getting out there and getting comfortable and not being nervous about messing up
all the camps are filled and im only doing 1 camp this summer but i dont know what else to do
p.s. i am sorry if this thread is just a waste of time..i just really want to make varsity next year and be able to compete at that level

well you seem pretty small, so you do wanna hit the weights hard, but it sounds that 5 days of lifting might be overtraining (correct me if im wrong)
it sounds like u might want to hit the wall, and mix in some running as well but i dont really know im not that knowledgable with this stuff

its not 5 consecutive days
its like 3 and then one off and then another 2 and then one off ect.
i dont believe im over training
but yeah im getting stronger so thats good

With the fact that you didn't start adding to the list in your first post or any of your other posts and waited for other people to make this workout, it sounds like you are looking for an excersize for yourself and don't want others to know it's for you. Am I wrong?

haha but yes brikk9 thats what i was looking for..
i dont really care if people know if its for me or not, but i felt that people would be less likely to help me especially with my alerts and warning levels or whatever..
plus i felt the more suggestions that were submitted, the more people it would benefit
