Well i had a crappy head STX and i decided to buy a new one. So i got the Pulse and same time i got it my brother got the Answer. What are your guys opinions about the pulse you think it was worth the money? I personally think its sweet wouldnt hurt if it was cheaper but its really precice and it catches really nice with those bands...lol a friend told me if catches even better if you take the bands out......

p.s Pulse vs Answer = ????

thanks for your time!!!

yo man. personally i have played with the answer but not with the pulse so i can only go by my opinion of the answer and my frends opinions of the pulse. from what i hear it is definitly not worth the 100 although the answer isnt one of my favrite heads either.

Yeah, Probably should have been in the equipment

Much better :)

And yes, Wrong forum. Pulse sucks, rubber bands suck, and anwsers warp, so they also suck. Buy 2 Revos or something with the money. Much better. Or a revo pro. Both are good and strong, and the revo pro is pretty light to. Way awesome.

I dont have to do a lot of the things i do, But i like to make sure the rules are well known  edit- And here comes a backseat modding Alert!!! Please , Spare me givers of life!

Moral of Mohawklax and my own posts: Dont buy the pulse or the anwser. Or dont buy anything brine. Its all flimsy and i dont like it (And the Brine lovers flock to Marflax's House weilding flaming sticks and pitchforks. Time to run, Toodles ). Torque, Proton power, Revo pro, Razer (or Razor, or Razr, whatever it is ), and the Profile are all very good heads, And cost a bit less than the pulse.

i have both heads. i dont use them in games as im a d player.

however i have played with them quite alot. i preffer the pulse. you can feel the bands working and it has a nice pinch. your right about the price but i got it on here so it wasnt too expensive.
the answer is still a good head, probably more suited to a midfielder player than the pulse. its obviously alot better than the pulse wiuth ground balls, due to the more 'open' pinch.

in my opinion the pulse is the better head.

The Answer isn't very durable, and same with the Pulse. Since the Pulse has hinges to make an outer piece of plastic flex to cusion the ball, its pretty flimsy. Definitely not worth its $100 price tag. The Answer is a better head, only for attack. But then again, its not very durable.

I have to agree entirely. I bought a Swerve and it warped after 3 practices,no face-offs, and I barely play D.

Marflax, I heard that revo pros warp too. Pulses are fine. I like them better than Answers, just because their pinch goes up higher on the head and besides that there aren't any big differences.

I havent heard of Revo Pros warping.... On faceoffs and places like AZ, where it is 110 degrees every day, maybe. But around here, some of the varsity players have had them for quite a while, and not a problem.

no, no just wrong! what your are saying is pure preference, just cuz something warps, doesnt mean it sucks, and let me remind you heads warp alot faster when you throw all your equipment on your stick, so alot of the warping could be self induced, and face offs warp heads too. i mean come on just cuz a head warps doesnt mean its not good, and for the price of an answer you can buy like 3 of them have a great head while using them and still only pay the price of like one revo pro. If you prefer revo's thats fine, but dont get off topic and tell the kid somthing he didnt even ask!!! :hot: he asked about the pulse, and the answer.

now i've only ever used the answer. and i didnt like it much as a midfielder but now that i play attack i love it! i've heard that the bands on the pulse dont work all the time but when they do you really feel it. really the only way you'll find out which one you like better is by playing with both and deciding from there.good luck!

look if i were to buy a noew head, i would wait till the new stx stuff comes out and other companies. most are coming out during the fall season because its the season when everyone wants new gear for the start of another season. anyways its just preference
