1. Do you need a ballstop for box? I swear I heard someone on here say you didn't.
2. In IL it said the pinch during the int'l games could be 4 inches at the widest point, is this true?
Thanks guys

1) No? The rulebook mentions a ballstop in the description of the roll-through test, but doesn't explicitly require one. Also, since the rules don't tell referees what is to happen if they find you have no ballstop, they shouldn't really be calling you for not having one.
2) Yes, 4". Otherwise similar rules to US field, I think

Thanks. What does the bolded mean though? I thought US Field was 6.5 inches.

It is. He was just saying that aside from that one fact (the 4" thing which seems ridiculous), they will follow the rest of the rules.

It's the same roll out pocket and table top rules, I think.
I also agree that a 4" head is frogging ridiculous.
I pinched (http://www.lacrosseforums.com/showthread.php?t=52415&highlight=pinching) one to 5", and figure that even that's pretty ridiculous!

Thanks guys. I was at my coaches lax store today, and every stick he has is about 5 across the top. a kid i went to Edmonton last year with for box , he pinched a Proton that was 3!!!!!!! across the top. He never got called on it either. I'm probably gonna get a Proton and pinch it for box.
