hey guys, well i live in kentucky which isnt exactly a hotbed of lacrosse and i was wondering what some good things to do to get noticed are. i know the camps and such but down here there are no club teams or travel teams that i can play on wher a scout would see me play. im not sayin i think im good enough to play division one or even two or three. but i really want to play college lacrosse and my dream job would to eventually be a coach and i think playin college ball wouldnt definitely look good on a resume. i know ther have been other threads on similar topics but i want response from some of you guys who have actualy "been ther and done that." thanks for all your help guys.

Hey, I'm from Northern Nevada and would like to play college. 1 problem, no summer teams to play on, last season only 2 teams, this yr 6 teams so thats good, and I wont be able to go to any camps till next summer. Im going to be a jr. this yr, so any tips on getting noticed?

If you send tapes make sure they ARENT highlight tapes. Coaches don't like highlight reels. They don't care if you can score 30 goals against a D of scrubs. They want to see you in real game situations.

You guys are going to have to go to sleep away camps, in or near a hotbed area. Thats my best bet to getting noticed.

No, I merged your thread and this one. They were pretty much asking the same thing, the only difference being where you two lived. Both can take the same advice really. So, continue on with the discussion.

The best way to get looked at is to go to Camps. HotBeds, Dixie Top 150, Top 2005,Blue chip etc. No coaches will come to Kentucky to see a kid play. Also it depends who you play for. If you play for a bad team and play other bad teams it will be tougher to get exposure even if your a good player.
