What are your goalies favourite hits or runs up the field you did??
Mine is we were up on a team pretty bad and a kid got a suicide pass on the creese from half field as soon as he got the ball i sent him flying it was so much fun....then in box yesterday i flipped a kid over my back ...my favourite run is when i got up into the offensive zone and fed it across crease and my player scored..... so lets hear all your favourite hits and runs you guys have done?

Two years ago we were scrimaging a local team who is a lot better than us, and the baseball team was getting back from practice. A kid yelled at me to hit someone and in the next 45 seconds I laid out two different kids who were going for groundballs.
Another time I took the ball up feild and was in their box, and I faked a kid but bobbled the ball. As I was looking at my stick to get control of the ball I got absolutely leveled... my jaw hurt for a few days after that.

I was called for an illegal body check because I knocked a kid out once.

The other goalie threw a gilman, I went out to get it. As I go out to scoop it up, I see this kid absolutely trucking towards me. I threw an outlet.. he's still running. I decided not to take a hit, but instead put my hands together, hit him square in the chest and he was parallel with my lower ribs. I found out after the game that he was a Freshman. I bet he hasn't touched a goalie since.

I was absolutely crushed at Pilat's camp a few years ago. I was on the attack side (full field of goalies.. with our sticks) and wasn't looking up while getting a ground ball... and I was seeing stars afterwards. The worst part was that he was about 1/2 my size. I guess that's a prime example of karma.

But I did have 3 assists my senior year. =)

some hid shot it and i chaded after it and it dint go out and the kid got him so i rocked him it was classic hit and run

I've had 2 good hits that I can recall. One game our D was playing like poop, and the other team was getting 1-on-1's with me all day. I finally got sick of it (after like their 2nd 1-on-1 on me) and i wrecked a kid on the crease. He was throwin fakes like he was something good, so i popped him, then one of his team mates picked up the gb so i hit him too. Another time, the other keeper threw a hospital pass, and that's almost what it was, if the kid was my size. I nailed him when he turned to start running for the cage. The ball ended up rolling into the crease and came to rest like 5 inches from the goal line. Their coach was flipping out about unnecessary roughness, but I was like almost a foot shorter than the dude. Later in an all star game, I got to play w/ the guy and he was like "so you're the dude who hit me" and i was like "yea".

I've been laid out a lot of times, but usually it ended up in a penalty b/c of high hits since i'm pretty short.

One hit I took was at practice when the attackman was coming around from x and had beaten the defender. Right as he got to GLE I came out to hit him but somehow I ended up on the ground but I had the ball in my stick. It wasn't a big hit just cool how I made the save too.

For a run, there wasn't anyone open so I decided to take it up myself then two guys from the other team came at me, I got past both of them. Then I was almost at midfield and all our middies had already crossed and wouldn't have made it back in time so I had to pass, but the ball wasn't in the 'sweet spot' of my stick and ended up on the ground. I had to sprint back to goal, but luckily my teammate got the ground ball.

This year this one kid kept covering me on the crease. So three times in that game i ran out and dropped a shoulder into him. I layed him out all three times and ran the ball to about midfield.

funny story...not really a hit and run but we were scrimmaging the varsity team and the varsity coach had the ball. He cranked up at the top of the box and shot it. It hit our goalie directly in the balls. It cracked his cup and he just faceplanted it into the dirt. He fainted and was out for a good fifteen minutes

i live for hits, i had at least a hit every 2 games this year. it is just sucha good feeling knocking some kid out. in our last game of the year against our rivals there was a pass from about the box to some kid who was running to the crease all alone. *** soon as the ball was close enough i smoked this kid and the best part was he missed the ball (before i hit him) and i just ran and picked it up and ended up in a fastbreak goal and this attackman was also out for the rest of the game for this hit. its such a good feeling takin a kid out for the rest of a game (not to sound like a complete jack a** but its such a good feeling

Hit- would have to be a one on one. The dfense was sitting up to high and an attack caught a pass 5 yrd id front of the goal. He was 5ft even, if not shorter. As soon as he turned around, he ate the ground, and his shot went 10yrds wide.

Run- Not a run, but a pass. I was in the crease, and I hear a teamate call for the ball. I pass the ball just inside of the box on the opposite end of the field. He turned around and let it rip top corner.I had a few assists that yr. I also had 8 shots in a tourny that I played goale in my sophmore yr, just before I became goalie full time.

at camp i hit this kid on the crease with a double illegal check: cross check in the facemask. i didnt get called for it either :agree:

i norm. play defence, but in our last JV game i played attack. i was moving around at x and the crease when some guy took a shot, and the goalie saved it. he didnt see me at x, and cam out of the goal, and then a midie chased him around the net, and then WHABOOM. he got laid out!!! the good thin was i know the guy, so we joked around about it later that week.

My favorite hit was last year at our last game, the team was better than us and we were trailing 7 to 3 in the fourth quarter, there was very little time left, and a attackman who had scored four of the seven was cherry piking just below the restraining line, we were in a man down situation and he was uncovered. so the oposite keeper threw a huge helocopter pass to this kid, and right before he cought the ball I charged out of the cage and met him right when he turned around. The ref kicked me, and my coach out of the game for unsportsmanlike conduct. they kicked my coach out because he started congragulating me on my hit.

i have 3, and theyre all funny.
1. 2 years ago i just got a pair of defts and i was experimentin with the cuff system...some kid was slashing me and yellin at me so during a restart while the ref wasnt lookin he ran through the crease and i took my hand out of the glove and fasemasked him to the ground. so happy i got away with that.
2. last year i was goin on a shutout and i let a rebound go to some attackman right in front of the crease and he went up to shoot and my nemmy basically swallowed his head and threw his stick straight into the ground. he fell backwards and i was laughing hysterically.
3. last year there was a game where it was tied 6 - 6 in the 4th and this attackman on the other team was always slashing my legs while i was raking in a ball in the crease. i thought i should hit him, but i couldnt do that...on like an instinct i somehow did an around the world with my goalie stick and the ball hit the kid in the side of his helmet and i stepped out of the crease and ran into the offensive zone for the clear. i dont know how i did it, but i somehow did. i tried doin it at practice 2 days later but i couldnt do it the same way.

you said most memorable... not favorite... my most memorble run was when i ran out and blazed everybody.... but somehow... my ball happened to jostle out of the sweet spot... so it ended up on the ground... and in this case... blazing their attack hadn't helped, their guy picked it up and just tossed it in... we lost 6-5 ( i had 22 saves that game... but nobody paid attention to that... just that i dropped that one that resulted in a goal)

oh, if we wanna go with memorable...
i had basically charged a kid at least 10 feet from the crease and leveled him, picked up the ball and did a couple roll dodges past middies and defenseman, and got a shot off, didnt score but i hit the post and it went to my attackman and he scored so i got an assist on that. we won that game 14-3 and i had 25 saves.

coming down on a fast break i jumped the pass to crease and just took off upfield. i got slashed on the way out and got the flag. the trailing midfielder was with me at about half field and i throw the biggest fake ever. the kid turns around, a complete 180 lookin for the ball while im runnin by him. i get to the the restrainin box and go head on with this kid and end up knockin him on his a**. finally i d-pole gets to me so i tried to throw it to my buddy cuttin to the crease, didnt work but o well. whole sidelines was goin nuts.
hes an idiot. same game he had a better one. we were playing these scrubs from northern PA and i think at the time we were winning 3-1. Anyhoo he takes the ball from X on an in-bounds and gets the guy covering him so bad. the kid loses track of where he is, and back-peddles into the crease. The ref was incompitant and didnt see that we was in the crease until hunter (that dude^^^, the golie) faked him so bad he tripped over the end of the goal. he then ran it up, passed it to one of our attckmen, after faking out another kid, and i think he scored, but not sure.

my worst run happened last week when i was playing out for my city team( i only play goal for school) and in halftime my coach tells me to go in net. so it's in the second half and i make a save and sprint up the field. I get to about center and get checked lightly but the ball come out because it was the city's stick and and had a pocket like a girls stick and not the pocket i'm used to. Then they run down and lob the ball in and they all cheer and yell. Needless to say i was so angry i may need a new helmet
