Would going to the school's camp that you want to go to help for getting noticed by them. Like say I wanted to go to Ohio State, would going to that camp help me get noticed possibly?(that was just an example)

Yes, it definitely will. College coaches actually prefer camps to tourneys or so-called recruiting camps. They like them because their camp will allow them most time to interact with you and see you as a player and as a person. It allows them to see how you respond to their coaching and they just get more time to observe your skills in person. Overall, it definitely shows that you're more interested in the school by attending their camp, and you get to learn something while you're there. Instead of only playing for three days, you get some quality instruction and you get an opportunity to meet and watch your potential future teammates and coaches.

I think you are right, lilaxgurl. Last year my son went to a camp run by a D1 coach who told my son he would like to see him this year. I sent Coach an email asking about recruiting camps, as our HS coach wanted my son to attend a recruiting camp he worked at (Brown Challenge actually, where is is today). The D1 coach reverted saying in going to a recruiting camp he "would not hold it against him", and is useful if he wanted to be seen by a number of coaches. While he did ask that I let him know what recruiting camp he would attend, I took the tone to imply that to him a recruiting camp was a second choice. So if you really liked a school and wanted to gauge the possibility of playing there, I agree that the coach's camp is the way to go.
