Out of a split, do you one hand cradle like most of the college players?

OR

Do you keep both hands on your stick once you make your split?

What would be the benefits of either way?

it depends if you are going to pass or shoot.
i usually shoot or pass so i have both my hands on the stick but i do go into a one handed cradle if i have alot of room.

same as loyola. i am an iso middie, so i pretty much dodge from the top every time. my favorite is the split dodge, so after i do it i keep both hands on because i usually shoot after.

It really depends if I am planning on passing or shooting. Some coach once told me, "When dodging, you must remember, a dodge should do just enough to free up your hands for a pass or shot." So if that statement is true and correct in all situations, then coming out of a split-dodge, you should always keep 2 hands on your stick. But in the other instance, you might be in transition and trying to sprint past a guy, so in that situation I would cradle 1 handed.
