Delbarton is the #1 ranked team in Nj, i recently just played against them in a fall league game, we lost 8- 6 but they didnt have their full team. Mountain Lakes verses Delbarton used to be the game to see, and it still is a great game to see, but now that Summit is #2 and Mountain Lakes is #3 that the Summit Delbarton game should be good. Other good teams are Randolph, Chadum(sp), MKA, and theres a couple more..

The reason that Mountain Lakes gets to play Delbarton every year is because Mountain Lakes does a GREAT job of keeping the kids from their very good youth program to go the Mountain Lakes High. {I don't know the offical name of it so I'll just call it that.} What Delbarton does is get amazing kids from towns with weaker teams (or the surrounding towns like mine that cannot keep their kids going to the public high schools), and now the kids that were going to go to that low ranked public high school are now going to Delbarton {and if they don't have enough money they get "finacial aid" or an "academic scholarship".}

I actually heard that Mountain Lakes does some shady stuff to get kids to play there. If they want you to play there but you don't live in the area or in NJ, they have a program that will set you up witha local family and you will live with them. Many of my friends go to Delbarton, it's all just "academic scholarships" that they will give to kids if they don't have enough money to go there. I have never heard of the local family thing, that is pretty outrageous. I bet it has happened once but I don't think it's a common thing. What does Mountain Lakes do to get their kids to go there?

The reason that Mountain Lakes gets to play Delbarton every year is because Mountain Lakes does a GREAT job of keeping the kids from their very good youth program to go the Mountain Lakes High. {I don't know the offical name of it so I'll just call it that.} What Delbarton does is get amazing kids from towns with weaker teams (or the surrounding towns like mine that cannot keep their kids going to the public high schools), and now the kids that were going to go to that low ranked public high school are now going to Delbarton {and if they don't have enough money they get "finacial aid" or an "academic scholarship".}

I play for shawnee. We lost to cherokee (pokesalot) but we never should have. But not to go into detail i know we'll beat them this year, and have an okay season. We're kind of a young team (the players i mean, most of our varsity is sophmores and seniors-who are okay- and the juniors arent to good) so it'll be interesting.

Just to tell you last season our goalie was Gutkin, he got a full scholarship to Wagner in NY, so yea; he was pretty good. This year or goalie is Horcshe (he played attack last year V, and JV goalie) -thats their lastnames-

If you're talking about the current goalie they have, I've played against him many times and he's pretty good. I'll find a way to get his name.
