Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has an idea of when the 8 and 12 m arcs came into play. As best I understand the "modern" game began in 1890 in Scotland and 1926 at Bryn Mawr. But were the arcs in the original rules or did they come later? Thanks for any input.

No mention of either 8-meter or 12-meter arcs in the men's game in the 1867 rules, the 1924 rules, 1944 rules or the 1955 rules.

I wouldn't expect so, since they're used in the women's game. :nahya:
Also, weren't you the mainstay of all the cited rules committees? :agree:
