Today in our game we had one of our best players get two handed across the throat. He went down hard and after about 5 minutes he got up.
The only good part (well on his part) was that he got up and screamed "I've got your number, number three!" as loud as he could.
Then one of the other kids on our bench (one of his best friends) goes "Hey, number 3, it's hunting season. Watch your head. You're MINE!"
Anyway, the kid that was hit was on the bench throwing up bile for the next few minutes. He went back in the game but in the end we tied (our first non win) and he took it really hard.
He was in the changeroom swearing at himself and stuff...but yeah, his throat is black and blue.
Brutal.

Wow...thats pretty intense. Weird place to get hit too. Did the other player get a penalty?

The other kid got a 3 minute for high sticking.
I was really suprised that our team didn't retaliate, but at the begining of the season I pulled a Herb Brooks and told them that if there was ANY retalitation they'd be running laps until they were puking.
Anyway, the number 3 didn't touch the ball for the rest of the game and our kids were hitting harder than normal, but Brendon, the kid who got hurt was like a tank after that.
I feel sorry for the team we play today. He's STILL riled up and livid.

lol, that's great, we got some kid who hurts himself though. He leads with his head and has gotten countless bent facemasks and after one game he was looking in the mirror. I asked what was up. He's like "whoa, my pupils are HUGE!" he's gotten hit one to many times imo.

one of our dudes somehow got under the dudes neck thing and got him with a poke check in the neck. We all agreed it was the best poke all season

That was a pretty intense injury! I have seen two broken arms this year (one at the high school level and one with 5th-6th graders), Both injuries had basically nothing to do with contact or viscious hits etc. Each player just fell funny on their arms trying to break their falls.
The High school kid actually tripped over his own feet while backpeddling!! It was wierd because they called his mom who was like a lunatic that "lacrosse is a viscious sport etc" until she found out her son tripped over his own feet.....LOL! :clap :bye

This one guy on my team got checked about a month ago and he broke a few ribs because he fell hard. The scary part is I saw him at our last game last week and he was playing well! Janessa congrats on your first non loss! My team is in the same situation we havent won a game yet either (at least we tied one)

in indoor i would get checked in the neck almost every game cuz it was a smaller area and the defence would just swing their sticks around and get me right under my chin guard

I got pulled down by the throat by a D-stick and was bleeding. Getting shot in the neck by a paintball hurts more though.
