Just curious.
I know it's different rules, different governing body etc., but just wondering if any of the wise men here have been called.
In the USA, once a referee has worked a Worlds Games he cannot return. Too many refs want to go, etc. Other countries may send their refereees multiple times.
Gold medal game: Tom Sutton (USA), Brad Scibak (CAN) and Phil Long (ENG) was the R. Rolf Krause (AUS) and Rodney Meyer (IRO) in the table area. ILF regulations stipulate that for the gold-medal game the on-field refs must come from the two nations competing and the third ref must be the R from a neutral country.
Bronze Medal Game: Tim Howard (USA) was the R, Mat Palumb (USA) and Kentaro Shimuzu (JPN). Dave Pinciaro (USA) in table area.
5th-Place Game: Mike Infantino and Sean Murphy, both USA on the field.

Yes, thank you.
I know there's a couple high level referees who read and post here. I was wondering if any of them made it to the worlds.
Tom Sutton is the only referee I was familiar with (he refs NLL, and we see him for many of Toronto's home games). He is by far my favourite American NLL referee. As near as I can tell, he called a decent game of field as well.
