hi, i recently bought a wooden goalie stick it is a white mowhawk and it has a bunch of extra strings (leather) witch get in the way of my grip some times i am wondering if i should cut them off and risk them comming out(they are the strings that go from the very top of the sting to the handle) or should i leave them or leave 3"-5" hanging off because there is like 1' now so msg if u got some tips

I had the same problem with mine I bought a couple months ago. Just cut them down. Thats what I did. Im also a person who likes to have strings off my stick. I dunno why, just feels more traditional. I cut them down so that there's about 25 cm long. They dont get in the way anymore and there's enough so I can still fiddle with the pocket depth.
