They are probably legal but I would definately not buy them under any circumstances. My cousin has these and they are the freakiest thing ever. Unless you want people making fun of you red eyes, I would definately not get these.

One of my kids used them this past season. Didn't say if it helped or not, but I assume it did since he kept wearing them. They do make your eyes look really freaky though, but that could be a plus depending on who you ask.

Uh, they do and have been since they came out. In fact, I think most people I know have them in prescription, only a few don't.

I have yet to be made fun of and I wore them all season and a lot this summer. If anything, people are freaked out and intimidated when they look into your eyes. If the contacts help keep an unwanted element out of your game, who cares what people think?

Anyways, they do help. Not so much in the sense of making the ball pop out, but they do take away the sun aspect very nicely. So much more than eye black will ever help you. I don't believe they're illegal and never really should be. They're a great alternative to sunglasses or an eye shield and you can definitely still see the pupil fine.

They are legal, there was a thread on it before. Something about where it says specifically in the rules that tinted contacts are the alternative to a tinted visor. And they work great, I used them all season and not only was it great for my eyes, it scared the crap outta some of the kids I played against, especially on faceoffs.

They do, or at least my optometrist did. I know him as a personal friend, but as far as I know, every person has gotten their first pair along with a kit for free to try them out, prescription or non-prescription.

They're legal; the goalie from Cherry Creek in Denver had them at a camp I went to.

For all the people who have them, do they really help you see the ball alot better?

If I wasn't so freaked out by touching my eye then I'd consider these

If you don't want to look quite as scary, you can use the grey version. The website shows sample views before and after with each color. Looks pretty cool, and I would consider the grey ones for reffing.

OK - got a pair and tried them out at a recent tournament. They do make it easier to see the play on a bright day (I do not wear sun glasses). Everything is just tinted a little. The only person that noticed I was wearing them was my partner.

Suggest if your interested, get a pair and try them. I will be using these for the coming season.

yea...just b/c you saw a kid at a CAMP doesnt mean they are legal. Im not saying they arent legal, im just saying your logic is messed up. Last time i checked there arent refs at camps enforcing rules like that.

Here's the original thread on MaxSights.

http://www.lacrosseforums.com/showthread.php?t=31685

Price has gone down some. There are several places online selling them for ~$40/box of 6 lenses, not including S+H & tax where applicable.

Safety shouldn't be an issue w/ these, b/c you can still clearly see pupils dialate w/ them in.
