I actually own both pairs of gloves. Both have their advantages.
The Eagle Sentry has the overall best protection, especially on the backroll, and they have a wider cuff to accomodate the box arm pads.
The Fury glove has a tighter fit, plus a shorter cuff for more flexibility. It also has better thumb protection, even though it hurts on the stick hand thumb when jammed by a shot with either glove.
For the record, I do go back and forth between both gloves in practice. However, I use the Fury gloves in games.

You might be hard pressed to find Eagle Sentry gloves these days. Every time I've called Eagle Hockey, they always say that the molded parts are on backorder. Even stores that carry their gloves have a hard time getting Sentrys in. :bawling:

I own Eagles, and I agree with how difficult it is the find the Sentrys. I happened to get really lucky when I saw they had an awsome black and chrome pair randomly on ebay, so I got them for a decent price. Everyone I called before either couldnt get them, or they were gonna cost a hell of a lot of $.

The Eagles look like theyre better, but I broke my finger this season. Snapped it. But it was a weird angle.
I wish I could develope my own lacrosse goalie glove. It would be awsome!

At best, it may be a longshot, but you might want to contact Gee Nash at Fury Hockey. He spent upwards of at least two years of research developing the Fury box goalie gloves. The only difference from last years model to this years would be that the cuff is more open to fit wider arm pads inside.

the sentries have better protection, and if you break them in they have justb as much mobiltiy as fury gloves. i know the guy that makes fury equipment, i dont like him for severl reasons. and the old ones or the new ones had/have a carbon fiber thumb.

I want a glove that;
i) has the memory foam for the hand like the Eagles
ii) has carbon fibre thumb like the Furys, but even thicker, and emphasize thumb protection like field goalie gloves
iii) has a wide cuff to fit all chest protector models and allow for mobility
iv) has extra protection for ALL fingers (like the Eagles index)
v) has the palm material of real lacrosse gloves
vi) has protection that extends over the tips and sides of the fingers so that the finger cannot slide around and extend past the protection (how I broke my finger)
v) flat front like Eagles and somewhat boxy
...I think I may just draw up something of my own. lol
