Many rulesets say you have to have a ballstop, but as far as I know, none of them define what a ballstop is.
So, if you're really stuck (like as in you have a game before you can get something delivered), just put a piece of duct tape in for a ballstop.
Check your league rules - If there's a max length for goalsticks use extra layers of duct tape if needed to make the measurement legal.
(Now, I know some rule sets explicitly forbid using more than one ball stop, and so using more than one strip of tape could screw you
Well, lookie here - Since they don't define what is, and what isn't a legal ballstop, So I figure you could just argue that it is just a single ballstop, and the fact that your ballstop is fabricated from more than one piece of material is not expressly forbidden).
