I recently made the switch from hard mesh to traditional. I love the way it shoots, and the hold is great, but it throws like crap, especially long range it doesn't go far at all. I might just suck at throwing with it because its new to me, but it seems like it shoots harder than my hard mesh did, but shoots slower and more inaccurately at the same time, which doesn't make sense. I'm pretty sure its strung properly. (A friend did it for me.) Could the shooting strings messed up? (I have two.) How many strings do you recommend? What's wrong?!?! Help! Thanks.

Yes, actually. If I throw it hard it just goes down really fast and doens't go where I want it to. I have to lob it to get it to go far, which sucks...

yea, whip would shoot it down, but hard, so when you clear you lob it to avoid the whip, and it gets no speed.

I have tridishional too. At first when i got mine the wip was crazy. I finally got rid of it. This is what i did:
1)Loosen shooting strings
2)Get a pocket pounder(If you dont have one a water bottle works just a well)Pound where the shooting strings there to make that area less tight.

Its not that hard. Thats what i did to get rid of my whip. I hope i was a help :)

the thing about trad. is that you have to constantly adjust it...and there are a million different ways to adjust cause of all the different strings...i loved my trad. when i had it but i just got to lazy and now have mesh...i honestly think i could shoot harder with trad. and my carry was sick cause the pocket wrapped around the ball...the only thing was i had to constantly adjust it to keep it right, i.e. during practice, games, and just messing around..but you will get the nack for it after a while...good luck and have fun with it, there really isn't that much you can do to mess it up unless you start removing strings...

Play with the shooters, sidewalls, and bottom strings. Once you have it dialed in, you'll love it.

I have 3 or 4 traditional PITA pockets and they're great. I can throw a line drive 40-50 yards with very little drop. Better than mesh, but more to work with, too.

no he has gaps in his trad stringing at the top so when he shoots it gets caught up in the corner and just throws straight into the ground...nothing to do with whip
