I will say everything that happened during the Canada USA game in this thread as i have just got back form London watching the game. At the start it is pourning rain. The crowd is happy, but get soaking wet. Team USA dominate the first 10 minutes, barely allowing Canada to get a touch. The first goal by the USA, is set up beautifly by Mikey Powell, looking one way, and passing the other. Chris Sanderson, despite being the best goalie, makes a horrendous mistake that costs Canada a goal. The ball falls out of his stick after great pressure from casey powell, and he has an open net to score. In the second quarter, Canda is much better, playing better offense and defense. Mikey Powell slips and falls trying to do a stutter step, and it looks like he twists his ankle. Loud boos from Canadian fans, and USA fans look ready to cry. It is still pouring rain.

7-6 Canada at half. After the halftime whistle blows, an English streaker runs onto the field and entertains the crowd for about 5 minutes before being arrested by police.

In the third, Canada dominates the USA both physically and mentally, and the USA make some very dumb mistakes. In the fourth, it is the Gary Gait show, making some beautiful moves and scoring 4 goals to secure Canada the gold medal.

Congrats guys, you deserved it!!!

Now for the festivities. The Iroquois nation are easily the most liked team by fans, givin out autographs and giving away equipment on the spot. I came a bit late and almost managed to get some Iroquois gloves, but decided to let the little kids who are actually Native American get them since its their team. I still got autographs form Brett Bucktooth (who is huge btw) delby powless, and others. The aussies were giving away helmets, and all teams were trading equipment. For example. One guy on the Iroquois had an australia helmet, Japan gloves, ireland arm pads, and a team Spain stick.

I was going for Canada because im Canadian. Unfortunately i forgot my digital camera because i wish i got this on film what i am about to explain. When i was at the snack bar, I look up the huge, winding will that leads up to the university of western ontario, and i see team USA coming down, in full jerseys, with Nicky Polanco holding the flag. It took them about 2 minutes to get down, but everyone immediatly stopped what they were doing and just pointed and said "look, here come the americans" Once they got on the field, they walked in front of Canada and waved their flag in their faces (not literally) but they went to midfield, turned around stared at the Canadains, and waved their flag. I know it sounds kinda lame, but that is a moment i will carry with me forever. It was amazing, and they looked so powerful coming down the hill with the flag and all. Another thing i loved, is that the iroquois came down with their flag, plus what looked to be a wooden goalie stick with no mesh and no sidewall, with Eagle feathers all over it.
