Even though I have Defts(my favorite individual glove ever) I have to say Warrior based on the fact that although their prices are high, they still sell consistantly, and look awesome.

i went with STX because i think they have had the most CONSISTENT reliability and performance in gloves out of every company, second place would be warrior because their gloves are good, but too expensive

i went with STX because theve lasted longer than any of my previous gloves without some sort of a problem.

Definitely Brine.
Brine is probably my favorite brand for pads in general.

I'm gonna go w/ warrior too. some of their gloves like the MD Ltd's are way overpriced, but they have great gloves like the regular MD's and the superfreaks. they sell the sickest looking stuff on the market!

Thanks for giving some reasoning behind your decisions. Try to keep it up so we can get some good conversation going in this thread. I voted warrior because not only am i a Warrior addict, but i find with the gloves i have tried out, warriors have performed the best for me. Comfort and durability are a major factor for me, and i have had the same warrior gloves for about 2 years now and they are still going great.

Alright, I chose Brine because out of all the gloves I've tried they have been the most comfortable/durable. My only problem is that they smell A LOT worse than any of my friends gloves because of the lack of coolmax (or whatever it is) lining in Brine gloves (1st Gen Defts). Other than that, I love them. Plus, there's also my completely irrational brand loyalty, but that doesn't have a whole lot to do with anything.

i think warrior has the best gloves cause alot of their gloves are just amazing however those prices do hit the wallets pretty hard

I voted brine. I do have one gripe though. The palm (especially the thumb) tends to wear out and form holes. This might have to do with the fact I usually use a good deal of tape.

i picked warrior. I know they can be expensive but overall (as many have said) they are very derable and comfortable. Another factor is that warrior puts out more quality gloves meaning they put out 3 or 4 great gloves at a time while other companys put out maybe 2.

I voted Brine. I've mostly only used Brine (not to say I haven't used other gloves, my game gloves provided in college were mercuries and gladiators and the latter was good) but I'ver personally owned brine throughout the years. I like the fit and feel, and the protection and quality has always been good to me as I've never had major injuries or had my gloves tear (unlike the above mentioned mercuries) over years of repeated use. However I will say most current gen gloves from each company are all meeting a similar standard in my eyes (and price) so I may start shopping around when I decide to upgrade, but (as they used to say in the comicbook letters to the editor true believers) until Mikey Powell starts using backflips as his only means of conveyance, make mine Brine.

i like brine for the fact they got really mobile gloves and somewhat durable. i like stx because of durablility.

I don't really have a preference in brands.
I just voted my current brand - Brine.
I'm looking into some Shamrock Proflexx gloves, i like things that aren't known to the major public.

I love my Gait Insanity's. They are more protective than my old STX's and I don't even know they're there. Maximum flexibility, minimum weight, excellent protection.

i honestly think that warrior hypnos may be the best gloves out there. very flexible, great protection and CHEAP.

haha warrior, ive had 3 pairs of gloves in my span of palyng(over 7 yrs) starter gloves, rpms, and superfreaks. I like brine nut warrior is the way to go becuase of their flyness and comfortableness(not a word) but yea i still use my rpm and wouldnt give them up for anything

i have to go with warrior because the only gloves ive had are brine tridents warrior rpm pros warrior rpm prostars and mac dizzles soo yeah i cant really compare macs to trdients.

second place would be warrior because their gloves are good, but too expensive
warrior are expensive but i think they are unmatched in flexibility by STX (besides the i Pros and K18's)

Warrior's stitching never holds up either... I like Warrior for comfort, but overall I would have to say Brine after owning the Flights....

02-17-2007, 10:42 AM
I'm going to have to say STX with brine as a close second. I love my ipros and the k18s were also so nice, flexy, light, nice palm, and durable. For brine, the kings and defts are great.
MaKiMaKi13
02-17-2007, 10:51 AM
i gotta go with STX my ignitors and glads are great , but definitely with brine as a close second because the first gloves i ever owned were X-Factor gels and they were sweet when broken in completely
with the warrior gloves ive used and owned the stitching didnt hold up at all well and i ended up trading them in quickly
GoBucks
02-17-2007, 10:54 AM
I voted STX. They consistently make quality gloves that aren't too overpriced. I can remember back to the Ignitors, and how flexible and durable they were. Now, with the Ipros and the K18's, most people are raving about how good they are. The Glads were great gloves too, and my favorite STX gloves, the G-Forces. Those are awesome. They offer great protection, and are some of the most flexible gloves I've ever tried on, even right out of the box. STX rarely seems to fail when it comes to gloves.

im not gonna say warriors bad but u can almost NEVER go wrong with a pair a gforces.

02-17-2007, 12:49 PM
I love warrior gloves because alot of the other companies like to stick a ton of mesh in the palm/fingers. This does not help durability at all. I like the mostly-leather palms/fingers warrior offers on their higher-end gloves. they feel great!

i like my stx i-pros ecuase they have amazing padding, and kinda feel smaller on my hand than my superfreaks. i have tape criss-crossd all the way down my stick, and they still havent ripped since i got them in august
i usually go through 2 pairs of gloves a year

i say warrior even though i have a pair of stx shoguns and they are great gloves. my friend got a pair of warrior superfreaks for his bday and they are unbelievabley comfortable. warrior also makes the superfly, which are a step up from the superfreak, and even though you have to rob a bank to buy them, ive heard they are the bomb.

I went with Brine, I'm lovin the new gloves they have out, espically the Kings and the new Exodus'.

05-29-2007, 08:13 AM
I voted for Brine for a couple reasons. First, I like how they feel, my kings felt like they were already broken in when I got them and the material the palm is made out of is very soft. Second, they offer about the same amount of protection as my mac daddy's. Third, they seem to be fitted to smaller hands, so I don't feel like my hand is moving around inside the glove. As I aready stated, I have a pair of mac daddy's which have served their purpose quite well for two years now. I took good care of them since they cost me a lot of hard earned money, so the plam has stayed intact with only some of the stitching along the sides starting to come undone. In my mind warrior is a close second. But, because I owned a pair of vetilator's before my mac daddy's I went with Brine. My ventilator's were perfect in every way. Yes, they are very wide, but they way that they fit on my hand made them seem custom made for me. Also, they protected my hands very well and on only one occasion did I get hurt wearing them. Until one day I couldn't find them. Just this past month though I found them completely intake with no holes in the palms or anything else wrong with them. So with that I vote Brine as the best gloves.

I think I may have voted for warrior a while ago but If i could change my vote, I would vote for Brine. I got the Exodus IIs and they are by the far the best gloves I've used and thats including Superflys and Supercrosses and I've tried on a bunch of other gloves. The Exodus IIs are just so flexible and comfortable, I never want to use another pair of gloves in my life.

hard to say warrior are the most comfortable but not very durable the brine x factors I had once they were broken in the were awesome and lasted a long time, I try to stay away from harrow products although their gloves are probly the best things they make so i would probly say brine

05-30-2007, 07:09 AM
My gloves, since high school: X-factors, X-factor Gels, Ventilators, Defts, Kings. Brine I think are the most comfortable and protective gloves you can buy, I don't see myself switching. And best of all, the price is usually very right.
kevmc310
07-29-2007, 06:31 PM
brine and stx's durability outlasts warrior by a longshot, the material that warrior gloves is made out of, in my experiences of 2 pairs(macs and superstars(original)), usually gets ruined by the end of the spring, not to mention that the palms rip easily...also, warrior gloves arent original anymore...the same glove is redesigned with a different pattern every year (without the addition of plastic vent holes this year) from the superfreaks to the mac daddy's to the superfly's

Anyone that voted warrior needs to try the Kings. They absolutely blow warrior gloves out of the water in terms of comfort/flexibility, protection, and looks.

Its close, but i think brine beats out warrior. Brine has been creating more good gloves recently, even though they both have lots of great gloves.

I voted for Warrior. Because they are the only gloves I've ever used. Being new to the sport, my son and I tried on all of the gloves available, and the we both fell in love with the Hypnos. I think for they are some of the best gloves for the price. Anyone that has kids will understand not wanting to shell out $175+ for gear, only to have them decide they don't want to play.
YMMV

I went with STX. I am absolutley in love with the I-Pros. But a year ago I would have went with Brine. They always come out with quality glove after quality glove. And they have the most flexible gloves out there. They're not ridiculously priced like most Warrior gloves either.

STX- they dont always have the best or the most expensive, but they consistenly have great gloves.

08-25-2007, 02:46 PM
My decision is biased, I have only used Warrior Macs, Brine Elements, Brine Supercrosses, Brine Spartans, and a Brine entry level glove from about six years ago.
While the Brine gloves can be broken in, they do not have the better anontomical design. Their fingers are too short for me. The Macs are flexible right out of the bag and the thumbs don't rip. They also fit my hand better.
I find ways around prices, so that is not a factor to me.

I like gait i have had the insanity gloves for about 5 years and very little ripping and are very durable, Fairly cheap unlike Warrior. Also gaits factory is up where i live in Guilderland NY, so they come to all the local lacrosse camps and show there new stuff and give away tons of stuff and Paul Gait drives a wicked nice BMW Z4 coupe, and he stays and gives an autograph to everyone.

i kinda want to say warrior because i love my macs, and brine because of how comfortable my defts are, but after using my brothers Ipros, im sold, stx because their ipros are the best glove ever, not as flexible as the macs or as comfortble as the defts, but when you play,it doesnt feel like you have gloves on at all.

Brine. With the Kings, Defts, and Element 2's they have a great solid high-end line up. Add that to the fact that you can get any of those for less than the price of Mac Daddies and you've got a great deal. Kings are probably the best gloves i've ever worn. Great mobility, protection, price, and comfort.

Gotta go Warrior on this one. As a goalie, I think that Warrior caters to us most glove-wise and offer some very protective gloves. Especially the goalie thumb, I'd say those thumbs are the best on the market at the moment. Comfortable, and they higher end ones are pre-broken in. Great gloves in general, I don't think any goalie could go wrong with a pair of goalie Superfreaks. I have to admit that I'm saying this partially in bias, because I don't have all that much experience with higher end gloves from other companies. I tried on the HRW's at a Harrow booth at the state finals, they felt a bit odd, unlike any other gloves, but SOOO freaking comfy. Plus, they're supposed to like mold to your hand, and after trying them on I wouldn't doubt that. Very nice.

I voted Brine. I find that both of the Exodus gloves work very, very well, although I've seen my fair share of ripped palms from them. While Warrior brings some really good stuff to the table with the Superfly's, I just think most of their stuff is way too expensive to be worth it. STX has awesome gloves with the G-forces and the G22's, but I simply prefer the Brine brand over STX.
