These people got to choose their titles since they were 2005 Posty Winners. Make quality posts and you'll have a chance win for 2006.

Posty winners were announced in the Dec 12, 2005 issue of IL as well as here on TLF.

Back when TLF was singlehandedly supported by Mark, Stegs would help out TLF and donate some cash on an annual basis. As a result, Stegs got his own special title and the stars. A trend started a few years ago where members would put the fake stars and old school title in their avatars as if they had the title too. That wasn't cool.

You'll see more on this in the near future. But in the mean time, here's a short run down:

The Posty Awards are handed out annually here on TLF, and are run by me (Hooligan). The mods, super mods, and admins are all allowed to nominate people they feel meet the criteria of a "great TLF member". Usually, these members are active, informative, and follow all the rules (or at least most of them).

When a list of nominees are selected, and placed into the correct award categories, then the voting will happen. Last year, only the mods got to vote. This year, I'd like to try something different, but I haven't decided completely how it would take place. I would like to get members involved, but it would have to be in a controlled environment where no cheating could take place. A forum poll would most likely be the best place to handle this.

After the voting is complete, then the announcements will take place, and all the votes will be tabulated. The winners of each category can claim their prizes. Last year, they got a free subscription to IL, an IL calendar, and their choice of user title under their avatar. I'm sure the same prizes could still be available, but it would be really cool if we could add on to the prizes this year.

Remember, this is for a year long thing. The way people have posted in the few weeks leading up to Posty polling has NO EFFECT on someone's performance over an entire year. If members meet Posty critera for a whole year, they will be considered.

If anyone has further questions, feel free to PM me. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.
