Mike Powell = Eli Manning

I dunno, it seems like this guy has the potential to be one of the best lax players and he says he wants to play music? Does anybody think this is a way for him to not get drafted by Baltimore so he can play in Rochester?

If this is true.. then he's being Eli Manningish when he says he doesn't wanna play for the team that's gonna draft him...

I hope he moves on to the MLL and plays to his abilities

Thank you sully *tips his hat* Mojo lax, your a newbie, so bite me. Eli Manning didn't want to go to the chargers because that oranization is in shambles. It could be better run but monkey's. Also take how all of there recent 1st round draft picks have worked out. One word Ryan Leaf.... So I dont blame Eli at all for what he did. Eli himself has always been a class act and a southern gentlmen. Mikey Powell on the other hand, is a flashy, self centered punk. He doesn't play well with a team, and nearly ended his own career on a loss to Georgtown, because he tried to be facy and go behind the back, insted of the certain goal he had.

hey mojo, I currently live in Las Vegas. I own 4 houses in Vegas. I also own 2 houses in San Diego. I drive a BMW 740iL and my wife drives a GMC Denali XL. I own a 38' Fountain Lightning W/ 3 525sc's. and, my house is 4800sq ft. So I'm better than you! nah nah :tongue

anyways, I was only making the Eli/Mike connection with the whole draft thing. I'm not trying to imply that Mike is being hyped because of his last name or anything. I'm not saying one is a crybaby and the other isnt.

If you read my post you will see that I appreciate's Mike's lacrosse ability and I said he has the potential to be the greatest...

Now excuse me while I go swim in my heated olympic sized pool...

But do I like his attitude or personality....hmmm...not really...

I would prefer if he wants to play for Rochester...come out and say it...dont make up some BS stuff...but then again he IS mr Hype and it sounds better to lie and say one thing and then miraculously change your mind rather than be honest and sound like a whiner...
I say Balt should draft him out of spite and then make Roch trade their SOUL for MP...I wonder how much Roch would be willing to give up...
Think about what MP would mean for the team...not just in terms of goal scoring power but marketability and fan base...MP has a huge fan base already that will follow him no matter where he goes...

Agree with your first answer, MP should just come out & say "I want to play on a Powell attack line" if that is the case. Just be honest, everyone (except the Powell haters & some of the Bayhawk fans) will understand.

thats crazy if he does. i mean its a nice little side hobbie to have, but hes really got nothing going for him in the music industry if hes planning on making it big...hes got everything going for him in lacrosse....although i think its a shame that baltimore wont give up and just let him go play with his bros in rochester (and im a huge bayhawks fan and would love for him to play and be happy in bmore)

what a waste of talent if he ends his lax career now...i guess whatever it his decision, none of us know his real motivations, so well just have to wait and see

i think he wants to play in rochester.... but he might have other interests just cause hes that good doesnt mean he wants to do it for the rest of his life... i mean you dont get to many girls outside of college being a lacrosse player..... but a rock star come on
