Dano Jennings by a mile, Ben Newman, Tim Fry, Spiro Melisovas, Ryan Garsworthy, Jim Buchanan, and a bloke who hasn't played State League in a few years but used to play for Chadstone, Joey Castle, he very nealy busted my thumb on a man up with a longpole.

Big Joey plays for MCC....he actually played a few S/L games last month!

lax4life, are you a keeper? Having faced all those shots I can tell you Benny certainly has a quick shot, but so do those other guys. We should have a crank contest. Scott Menze should be up there as well.
oh and piperlax, yeah he's in the UK. I dont have any idea what his plans are. No douubt he'd be a welcome inclusion though.

Big Danno J threw it harder than anyone, and had a quicker release (ie- didn't need to wind up and skip in) than the others. At one world cup / nationals, he won the fastest shot comp (from memory at 101mph/162kph) using someone else's stick...thats pretty smokin' quick
Newman probably just pips Garnsworthy on the running shot pace, about 50/50 on a wind up. Big Waz from Surrey is starting to get his range back as well...

they had a fastest shot contest from what i can remember about 2 years ago and there were bout a hundred people in it (most of them just wanting to see how fast they could go, at the end there was joey castle, mitch johnson, a guy from surrey and a guy from willy (dont remember their names)
joey won with his long pole
mitch came second
dunno about the other 2
