I hope that you all got the chance to check out the following article on the new and improved Inside Lacrosse website:

Men's coaching changes: Cortland, W & L, Scranton (http://www.insidelacrosse.com/page.cfm?pagerid=2&news=fdetail&storyid=134235)

I knew that Rich Barnes' position as interim head coach would probably not last, but given his success in leading the Red Dragons to victory against the titanic Salisbury I had hoped that he would have earned the positon in the eyes of the Board of Directors. Whatever the case, Cortland looks highly promising with 28 returning members with Steve Beville in charge.

As for W & L, I remember that McCabe resigned back in 2002, so I don't know what, if any, differences he will be able to make in the team. I thought that his comment about his team's lack of traditional success was due "primarily [to] the result of a roster replete with underclassmen" was rather tasteless. A young team does not always translate into a poor team.

Just my 50 cents.
