I just bought a house with a finished room in the basement that's 37 sqare meters and I'm going to turn it into a lax bar (for me and for my team). Any good ideas on how to fix it up (besides the usual stuff like maybe a logo painted on the wall, jerseys and old sticks on the wall, etc.)?

Is this that fixer-upper you were talking about a few months ago?
Anywho, one of my teammates made a mini-lax bar in his basement. He went with the obligatory neon signs and decorated with his old high school jersey, helmet and collected some other older pre-tupperware equipment.
I think for you, a large team banner would be in order (heck sponsor banners too to give it that I'm actually not in my basement but at a real bar feel). Paint it with team colors, and hang some action photos, maybe have a wall with each years team photo etc.

I think bud light makes a lacrosse stick for a tap handle..
other than that.. probably just banners, posters, jerseys, old sticks, lax clock.. etc..

Actually, it is a different one: http://www.finn.no/finn/realestate/object?finnkode=7831789&sid=7a5e9q_Ky947649&pos=70&tot=144&page=3
The other place had kind of a flooded basement. This one is in pretty good condition.

Place looks great, a lot better than the other one.
Of course you have to have some sort of large TV for sports and the like. Maybe also a dart board or foosball table, some sort of friendly basment game.

Yeah, I'd like to get a projector for the TV and computer. Dart bart sounds good. The pool table would be a bit expensive for now (I need to get furniture for the rest of the house, as well).

A projector is a good choice, especially as a space saver, though it would be on the expensive side.

True. I'll probably start with a big, cheap flea market TV and upgrade later.

does that bathroom look awkward to anyone else. I donno it just seems like a wierd place for the toilet. I love looking at pictures from houses in different countries. Your house is definitly nice.
As for the lax bar Definitly get some old woodies and put them up on the wall as well as a picture of gary gait doing the air gait and of course paint your favorite teams or most popular teams on different parts of the wall

More than I wanted to pay, but houses are pretty expensive here and the average price went up 15% from last year. The good thing is that I should be able to sell it later for a lot more.

$365,000 is more than you wanted to pay? Around here, the cheapest house on the market is this (http://www.homesdatabase.com/cgi-bin/aa.fcgi?+N2IyMzVkODkwN2E3N2QxZjExM2E1YzY2YzA4NmJlZ jcSlI0iZbI78etCOGgOJaD6JfBiVte4iAfW53bKEL9Q6GD9dML YRzbKEcSnqX4uMFHMOqdQfTU%3d). Pretty ubsurd, huh?
Okay, now here (http://www.homesdatabase.com/cgi-bin/aa.fcgi?+N2IyMzVkODkwN2E3N2QxZjExM2E1YzY2YzA4NmJlZ jcSlI0iZbI78etCOGgOJaD6JfBiVte4iAfW53bKEL9Q6GD9dML YRzbKEcSnqX4uMFHMOqdQfTU%3d) is a middle-line house.
And finally, the most expensive in my 2 square mile city, is this one (http://www.homesdatabase.com/cgi-bin/aa.fcgi?+YzYxNWUxOTYxODllNTk3OWQwZmQ1ZjY3YmIwMzJkM GUSlI0iZbI78etCOGgOJKr6JPZqVte4iAPGr2jKXbBW+i%2fwL cbRQUizbeGKnCh6f13ed7wU)
Basically, what I'm saying is, that you got a deal on your house man. A house that size around here would be lots more than $360,000.
And, lacrosseTV comes from your computer, not from your cable provider. Can you get CSTV?

Wow! That is really expensive!
I haven't tried CSTV yet. I'll give it a try. Is that where lacrosse TV comes from, too?

Wow, that would be awesome, with one other thing. MINI LAX. Get a goal, or 2, 5 or 6 mini sticks, dye the mini sticks the same color as the bar, string them with matching colors. Wow.

Lacrosse TV comes from the internet, you pay for it, then you run a cable from your cpu to the tv, and voila! At least, I think thats how it works... here (http://itvnlacrosse.itvn.com/flash.html) is the website

Yeah, and to elaborate on the crease idea, call the bar the crease, paint orange bars on the wall behind the bar, and hang an old net between them. Then, when you paint the lines for the field, put the crease around the whole bar. Then, on a tape recorder, record a whistle blowing and then someone yelling crease violation. Then, if someone you don't like, as someone mentioned before, comes into the bar, press the recorder so it screams out it's message. And, as I said before, mini lacrosse is a must. Maybe hang your old or first lax stick on the wall. Overall, just go overboard and make every possible thing as lax-ish as you can.

How bout a rack to hang all of your sticks? Something just for show. Just get some wood and drill some holes in it or something like that.

Ok for the bar, you know how you go to some bars and stuff and the tables have like bottle caps or sports cards underneath the lamenent. well you could dothis with you bar. get a bunch of woodies or what ever. and make it so they fit in a open box like thing, then put the clear counter lamenent on top. this wouldnt be all that hard plus you could put some balls and what not in too.. here i'll try to gimp a small picture to give you guys an idea.

Yeah, I can't imagine it would be all that hard. My dad works for a company called Kohl Building Products, and I've been around there show rooms and stuff quite a bit, enough to know they can get just about any kind of count top you would want. The Bar itself wouldnt be too hard, you could make yourself. for the price of some 2x4's and screws plus what ever you wanna cover it with.
