I have to go see this movie just because the last one led you into it so much. If you saw Saw II you are almost completely obligated to go see the third one.

They showed a teaser trailer at Comic Con recently this year. It scared every one. Heres the synopsis from Comingsoon.net
With his new apprentice Amanda (Shawnee Smith), the puppet-master behind the cruel, intricate games that have terrified a community and baffled police has once again eluded capture and vanished. While city detectives scramble to locate him, Doctor Lynn Denlon (Bahar Soomekh) is unaware that she is about to become the latest pawn on his vicious chessboard.
One night, after finishing a shift at her hospital, Lynn is kidnapped and taken to an abandoned warehouse where she meets Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), bedridden and on the verge of death. She is told that she must keep the madman alive for as long as it takes Jeff (Angus Macfayden), another of his victims, to complete a game of his own. Racing against the ticking clock of Jigsaw's own heartbeat, Lynn and Jeff struggle to make it through each of their vicious tests, unaware that he has a much bigger plan for both of them...
This Halloween, from Twisted Pictures and Lionsgate comes the latest chapter in the psychologically intense and disturbing horror franchise. "Saw III" stars Shawnee Smith and Tobin Bell. The film is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman ("Saw II"), with story by franchise originators Leigh Whannell and James Wan ("Saw," "Saw II") and screenplay by Whannell. The producers are Mark Burg, Oren Koules and the late Gregg Hoffman, to whom the film will be dedicated. The film is executive produced by James Wan, Leigh Whannell, Peter Block, Jason Constantine, Stacey Testro and Dan Heffner.

I'll probably go see it, but i don't know how good it will be. I've found the others to be sorta weak, and not as gory as they are played out to be (same as hostel), but they are still entertaining.

Same here. Hostel was kinda lame, I must admit. Saw II didn't really make you think nearly as much as the first one. Like when he said "the # to the safe is in the back of your mind".. I already knew that it was on the back of their necks..

Saw III sounds like it's gonna be sick. mmlaxplaya, they didn't forget about the cop, his name is Jeff. Saw I and Saw II were at different locations so the cops wouldn't find them.

Hostel was pretty much half porn, half blood and gore...not a very good movie to me at all.

no I was talking about the cop in saw II, the one with the son in the game, at the end of the movie he was stabbed with a needle then passed out when the door was shut. I was just wondering if they were going to bring him back at all in saw III. and The two couldnt have been in diffrent locations because in the basement of the house when they opened the door the bodies were still in there from the first saw.

i bet Doctor lawrence from the first one is gonna be in the third one. in the second one they made reference to doctor lawrence. they showed his office with the name plate by the door. i didnt like the second one as much as the first, but i was surprised alot, like when they go into the room from the first one, and the first thing you see is all the lights go on again one by one, just like in the first movie. i was like DUDE!!! lol. i am so excited for the third one.

Hostel is terrible. I find it funny how they try to relate the plot to, "The Silence of the Lambs" with the friend drowning thing.

I saw the first Saw, but didn't really give it a fair shake. It's not that I thought it was bad, but I wasn't blown away (or maybe it's just because Carey Elwes will always be the dread sir pirate Robert/sweet Wesley to me), I did think the rube goldberg puzzle apprach was fairly neat. But from the good reviews Saw II seems to have (at least what I've heard) and the hype the third seemt o be getting, I'm willing to give the series another shot.
