is he really that small? The smallest guy I play with uses only 12" gloves, 9" gloves might be overdoing it for getting a "tight" fit.

9 inches is the distance from the bottom of the elbow pads to the tip of your middle finger. or at lease thats how i think you measure it.
so put your elbow pad on and measure 9 inches from the bottom.

The only kid I have ever seen use them was way under 5 feet tall, about 4'6" or shorter

My 9 yr old son wears 10" gloves and they aren't "big" on him. I'd say 9" gloves are way too small.

9 inch gloves are WAY too small. Im 14, turning 15 in december and ill be playing JV in the fall. I wear 12.5 inch gloves right now (although soon when I out grow them ill get bigger ones). Id reccommend him getting 12.5 or 13 inch gloves, but its best to go to Sports Authority or Dicks Sporting Goods and try gloves that fit right.

I am 11 and I wear 12'' inch gloves. He has to be a lot smaller than me for those to fit him. I don't think they will fit.

Those are gonna be way to small for him.
First of all, how big is your brother? For all we know, he could be a midget (jk). But really, 9 inches is way too small (do they even have 9 inch gloves?). It's okay if your glove is a little loose, you'll grow into it.

I don't know about you, but I didn't find that method too accurate.

Height doesnt matter. Like everyone has said above, go to a lax store and actually try on the gloves. I've tried size 13 brine gloves and they are huge, but if you try 13 in warrior gloves they are tight. 9 inch though? thats practically for a fetus.

Any chance you have a twin because arent you 14? lol Is this one of those "My brother is buying size 9 gloves" when its really you?
Meh im just messing around, but size 9's will be way too small...You obviously play lacrosse or you wouldn't be on the site, so why not have him try on a pair of your gloves. He is the same age so he should fit into a pair about the same size as yours.
