If your a good goalie and good field player is it easier being recruited as a goalie or a field player?

Well I believe that it would be harder to get recuited as a goalie, just for the fact that a team doesn't carry many to begin with. You need to realistically what you think you're better at. Yes, you can be good at both positions, but you have to excel at one compared to the other. I say that you go out for a field position, unless you are exceptionally well as a goalie.

i would say that if you looking to go to a certain school then i would go with w.e. they need that year. if they need a goalie go in as a goalie if they need a diff position then go as that. but dont just give up goalie if you dont have to

Goalie can be hard because there are years where schools just don't want or need another goalie on their roster. If the school you really want to go to, isn't intrested in giving a scholarship to a goalie you could still be a recruited walk on.

a walk on is a non recruited player....all college teams will send a school wide email saying there is like a week of tryouts for all their incoming recruits and anyone else who wants to try.....there are many cuts, but a few are fortunate to make the team.

Walk ons generally have to prove their worth more than recruits though, since many teams have already made plans for recruited players
