over my past few years of playing, ive noticed something. the good lacrosse players always have a look to them.

-mid length crew white socks
-the helmet with only 1 or no straps buckled, looking through the top
-nike speed td cleats, or nike super bads
-the tape on the bottom of the helmet of either your number or someone that died's number
-sometimes an arrogant attitude on the field. confidence if you will.
-face paint. either the powell triangles, or motified, or backwards 7's

idk. those are just some things i've noticed. add more if you have some.

They always have semi-long, light brown hair coming out of the back of their helmet. Always.
Almost all of then are really tan too, no reason why though.

The reason they are tan is because they are always outside playing lacrosse.

Ehhh wow this is all horribly Un true.

Lets see i know good players who wear black socks.

Have short hair.

Dont put tape on there helmet.

Are super nice.

I think the people you are reffering to are called D-bags.

Souldn't this be in the genral mens forum? as it is relevent to all lacrosse players no just HS laxers.

I think what your refering to my friend is a stereotype, yes some good lacrosse players do look like that, but not all of them.

It could go both ways. Like Eclipse said there are really good players on our team tha fit a couple of those traits but not most.

Take Eclipse for example. He has short hair, not really tan, no tape on helmet, nice to me half of the time, I don't remember cleats but I think they were the ones specified, and not sure on socks.

I've got long hair; its down past my shoulders a bit. I wear low cut socks, keep my helmet buckled (safety first!) no tape anywhere, and i don't think i'm arrogant at all. i'm a kind hearted soul. peace and love baby!

I will agree that most good lax players wear mid-length crew socks (the color is debatable)

I do wear my helmet low, and i keep it unstrapped, but only on the sidelines. I dont run around in warmups trying to look hard.

The mid length socks is not always the case. I know alot of good players who do it, but then again, i know a ton of HORRIBLE players who do it too.

this coming season, im going to make my squad only wear mid cut socks. the top bar is the ONLY bar you look out of if your playing with my team. if anyone cuts their hair so help me god...

I'd have to say i'm one of those HORRIBLE players who wears the mid cut socks. That would actually be really funny if you did that to your squad. Middleton would then me unstopable(i'm sure they already are, so yeah).

that theory is mostly tru but sometimes its not.

i loook through the top bar of my helmet, i have my number taped on my helmet, i have 1 strap unbuckled, 2 on the sideline, i wear the backward 7's and i have a huge attitude on the field, a confident one. sometimes if a guy is pissing me off ill have a nasty one.

i don't wear the crew socks tho, i wear low cut ones, and i wear nike shoguns for cleats.

lmao. I'd fit in perfectly with your team, except I either wear really short socks or no socks at all.

i think if you atleast look decent while playing, your opponents will absolutely give you that respect. then if you can skeet WHILE looking good...hats off bro.

Man, where I come from, you gotsa wear the full length soccer socks, cat wisker face paint. Some guys modded their lids by turning the top bar deal backwards which pulled the visor down further. Our d had a kid nicknamed sunshine because he had lovely long golden flowing locks, but the others had dark brown or black and they were nasty. The last 2 AA's from my team were red heads!! There is no stereotype in the good ole C-Luv, except if you're black and your name's Clem Johnson, you're automatically the fastest and strongest kid on any team.

This is still in the design faze, but I think I'm gonna go with an old skool basketball look spun with bad arse laxer and add a twist of my own unique look. I think I'm gonna go with my old fencing shoes(which work increadibly well for turf shoes) with 2 pairs of socks on, one long white pair one mid length green pair. Than as usuall i'll have my last name and number with tape on the back of my helmet, and finish it all off with some short green shorts. one word AWSOME!!!

im not saying that every single good lacrosse player looks like this, but im saying. if you go to a camp and see some guys, the ones that stick out are usually sporting these things. not nessacerely the D-bag attitude. there are plenty of awesome guys. my friend just told me to throw that one in there. but there is a pattern. maybe it's just looking the part. im not sure but ive noticed it.

i have also noticed that there is a very specific method in which these type of lacrosse players pick up a ground ball, and it is as follows

step 1:approach the ball with a skip step while spinning your stick
step 2:bend very quickly and parallel your stick with the ground.
step 3:after scooping the ball, tuck your stick to your body and make a dodge, regardless if there is a defender near you

there you go, how to scoop a ball like a pro in 3 easy steps
