View Full Version : [Custom] The Lights Out Rock-it Pocket (for dragonlax)

I was supposed to start stringing this for dragonlax tomorrow, but I got bored, put:

in to watch, and strung this before the film ended. I finished it just as Rory Breaker was interrogating Nick “the Greek” and then, oddly enough considering this is a Neon Green Rock-it Pocket, the power went out. The neon does glow a little so I had a chuckle about the irony of me stringing a neon green Rock-it Pocket and then just as I finish it, the power goes out.
Here are the pictures. I hope you enjoy the pictures dragonlax, because the real thing is even better. I made the channel really wide and I am actually proud of this one. I was going to string you my version of it, but because I only had enough crosslace for your pocket, I did the real deal (or as close as I can get it myself). I promise you it is straight, but in the last picture I goofed and lay the pocket down on the ground to take a picture and it got mooshed in the shot.

Ouch!!!! That blades so sharp it could cut me! But seriously. Very nice work FLD. I'm sure Dragonlax is going to like very much. I like the Neon Green. I used to not be a big fan. But now its growing on me. I may have to get a spool for myself. Keep up the nice work.
p.s. Please dont let your cousin touch this one Dragonlax!

im so excited to get this in and dont worry when that cousin is over for a b-day party on saturday the stick wont leave my hands for a sec...ok maybe food but then ill have it in my line of sight and a leg cocked back for a swift kick.

This thread is giving me a very good chuckle...Thats one of the nicer Rp's i have seen in a while. That must have massive hold. First the double knots of the Rp itself and that uber wide channel... Sweet job man.
Your going to have to string me one sooner or later...

Yeah the channel is the widest I have made on a Rock-it Pocket. I had the leathers stretched out onto the sidewalls when I strung the channel.
You're going to have to string me one sooner or later...
Sure. Send me a head, four leathers (white please, the black one's are flimsy) and unless you mind red, yellow, or black, supply your own strings, also send me like $5 for s/h, insurance, and delivery confirmation.

It looks a little lopsided and the spacing in the channel is a little off. But otherwise good job.

Trust me it isn't lopsided. The only thing lopsided was my terrible photography. That and I was foolish enough to put the pocket flat down on the ground to take the shot.

what you guys dont know is how perfect this pocket is. i just got it today and it has taken the role as my game stick.
Looks really good, it's just to bad blades are so ugly.

Wow! This is one old thread. Actually it is illegal to do it for profit. I strung this for dragonlax as a "thank you" and for no profit at all.

Very sick. I'm not a fan of RPs but wow that looks amazing. Everything looks perfect symmetry wise, nice work.
