With talk of a titanium cs i was wondering it it would be possible to talk a straight head and use some sort of pinching method to bend it 2 degrees forward to make it like a less extreme version of the cs10 combos
Note: please do not use the word onset and remove it from your lax dictionary

You would have to heat up the plastic of the throat. It is possible, but not without ruining many heads. I don't think it's worth doing. In the end it may not even perform well.

you might have to jam a shaft peice in the throat while you do it you it will still fit on the shaft

It would be possible, but horrible unefficent... Look at an offset head, they bend gradually, not a quick bend.

thats why i said a straight head

i doubt it would work because if you look at say, a kannon, the "onset", i know you told me not to use it but i dont know how else to put it, its gradual just like an offset head. even with a straight head i dont think it will work.

Exactly my point, I was just avoiding the word onset, which is what you're doing in this case...
If a head is pointing foward, it's clearly "onset," since it's the opposite of an "offset." Or you can just refer to it as a "reversed offset."
In anycase, you're not going to make the bend gradual, it'll be too sharp... It's not gonna be possible.
EDIT: It is however possible to use a straight head, "shotgun," on a CS... I'm pretty sure they stay legal.

yes they do. i put my friends eclipse on my cs10 at his house, closest thing i had to a straight head and it was still legal.

well if you really want to do that, then just stick the head about 3/4 way in. then drill a hole in the neck so its atached to the shaft. then remove the screw and the head. then head up the neck and then as soo as its bendy, then stick it onto the crankshaft. then adjust it till it is legal. freeze it and your good to go. i must warn you that making adjustments to any head is illegal so try not to get caught.

its only as illegal as pinching a head, and tons of people do that.

The edge series heads dont have a gradual offset, they have an offset that starts immediately after the throat.
its a creative idea, but i think the process of bending the throat and getting it perfectly straight and alligned is too tedious.

I dont think that i could do it and have the results that I would want and I dont want to invest my money in something that may not work. I was wondering if anyone had tried it and I got my answer. This thread can now be closed. Thanks for all the imput guys!

what if you applied metal work into this process for a "gradual" bend, meybe if you took one of those things that you can bend a peice of metal into a curve and then heated the head to an extreme degrees, then used the peice of metal to get your curve? but it would have to be some awesome plastic because your head would have to be jelly for it to bend like that. Maybe if you made a mold out of plastic that could be heated to a very high degree and still hold its shape, stick the head inside that, heat that combo and the curve the mold and the plastic with the peice of metal.

or drop a couple quarters on some rotors and just try until you get it right

i kno what you mean, some people i kno do it for faceoffs b/c it allows you to move your stick back more, its a good idea and it works but its not something so amazin. my friend has an x3 on a normal shaft, its kinda the same thing
