How can we be threatened with banning for our private messages?
Aren't they just that?

If you do something that violates one of the major rules (racism, harassment) and someone shows a moderator.. why shouldn't you be threatened with it? There is no "user to user" priveledge here.

We don't get involved in PM. Now if you send a PM to a moderator then you can get warned for that.

PM's are part of these forums, so the moderators should be able to control them. I would think that moderators would be able to deal out punishments for conversations between TLF members outside of the forums, under certain circumstances.
P.S. You spelled "deux" wrong.

Well you didn't get warnd/alerted for anything based on PMs. Your warnings are all for signature violations.
Thread Closed - We can continue this conversation in PMs if you would like to.

I would like to think so but the problem is members want their PMs to be private. If they're private then we have no proof that PMs were not fabricated. So there is no way to moderate those types of situations. If you want to suggest that we change policy feel free to start a new thread.
