View Full Version : Kids with bad attitudes
I just went to a pickup game, and I encountered a kid who had the worst attitude ever. He was a highschooler, so thats why i put this in this forum.
First off, he thought he was the greatest player who ever graced the earth (he was okay, but not that good)
second, whenever anyone said anything to him, he would be like "you wanna fight" (what is up with that? how old are you, 8?)
and last, he then encouraged other kids to fight in his place, like a true coward.
I was just wondering if this is a common behavior for highschool kids these days, or if it was just a bad seed.

Bad seed. None of the kids i play witha have bad attitudes like that. Hopefully you were the bigger man and just shut him down for that game instead of fighting him

you should have just decked him one and called out his bluff that would have been awsome

well sounds like he has some confidence/selfesteem issues or some insecurity with himself. i do some of that to people i dont kno some times not to that extent but like i ll try and seem more confident and come out a moron sometimes lol. i m pretty sure he is doing something the like since i have a medical thing. if you see him again either ignore him or just try to get to kno him.

I definently agree with livinglegend 100%. There is only one kid on my team that ever got into a fight during a game, but he also drank 7 Full Throtles before the game

Yeah, there was this really annoying kid on my team. He's okay, not great (he thinks he is though). And he was just so annoying and almost everyone on the team was sick of him trying to be bossy and stuff so at practice we were scrimmaging and I decked him =) (yes I know youre not supposed to hit other kids on your own team but this was an exception). From then on he started being a little more quiet.

Be the bigger man, if he isn't that good he dosen't deserve to be considered, onl way I would fight is if the other guy started it, or someone was beating up on a teamate

yeah thats exactly what he should do. ur an idiot. but we have had kids with bad attitudes and try and start fights during games and unfortunately he was one of the best middies we had, when he tried. which wasnt very often. he was a big hitter and could back up his bad mouthing most of the time i still hate kids with that attitude and since i am a captian this year there def wont be anyone on my team taht is like that or they will be gone

i used to be a negative nancy but then i figured that i should just have fun while it lasts and that its only a game. if anything just ignore the kid as much as you can, thats my best advice, just worry on what your doing.

IF hes turned wouldn't you crack it acrosss the back of his head? Not his face?
Also, people might think that I have a bad attitude, i sure act like it but its to get inside peoples heads and mess up their game, even if a little bit. Lacrosse is as much mental as it is skill.

I remember this one kid who was on varsity last year, but doesnt even play lax anymore, who just plain SUCK!! But he thought he was the Long Island-version of Gary Gait. Now, I wasnt on varsity at the time, but from stories I heard from the guys who were on varsity last year they tortured him. If anyone decked him, he got a free wrap from the cafeteria. And the kid kept telling the coach "Coach, there settin me up coach!" And what did coach do? Nothing

To me it always seems that the best kids have the best attitudes. The best players on a team (skill and talent wise), are almost always the same kids who have a good attitude wether they win or lose, and they repsect their opponents. Likewise, the kids with bad attitudes are usually the ones who aren't that great, or are frustarted cause they are always being beaten.

yeah this senior on my high school team got kicked off the team last year after beating up a sophmore that accidentally hit him with an illegal check. before this, the same kid got kicked out of almost every practice for talking back to the coach.

i know a few of kids like that all of who are idiots and i hate. and he was just a bad seed, i know aaaaallllllloooottttt of highschoolers in my school and none of them are like that. One kid i play lax with is the exact clone of tha kid, but we shut him up( even though hes on my team) in scrimmage by giving him nice big hits, and my coach benches him when hes like that wich is always and were sorry we got stuck with him on our team.

hm this topic is basically the reason that withdraws my likings to lax and makes me have second thoughts about playing for my first year....we have a couple kids like that too....i took care of one of them tho since we were in p.e. and playing softball, i just plowed into him when i went into home base
