Hey

I'm gonna try out for NESLL this fall, and i was wondering how easy it is to get in. Are there any tips for the tryouts?
I also play middie, if that makes any difference in the tryouts.

Thanks

its really easy to get in to NESSL, a tip is to play really agressive and standout, but it is almost like if you can play lefty and righty your in.

Mod i dont think this is in the right forum so please move.

crazylax missspeled it. (Hint: too many "S"s, not enough "L"s.)

And it's basically a weaker version of... well... any other select league. Same stuff, different price.

I'm guesing he lives in ohh....maybe...Newhampshire? But yea, i'm trying otu for NESLL this spring/summer. I know a bunch of kids who made it in as u-13 last year (u-15 this year) and none of em were too good.

I was thinking about trying out for nesll, but i think i'm gonna shoot for the NH Tomahawks instead. They are better and more established.

I played with three dudes from nesll this summer at top gun. Wow, these kids are the most retarted players I've ever seen. They were the worst ball hogs I have ever seen in my life, and they had the worst attitudes ever... ever. Nesll is reeeetarted.

I played in NESLL last spring. I know a lot of kids from the league that are in the "YEAH! NESLL IS THE BEST EVER" group and they let everyone know that they play. Bringing NESLL gloves to school, explaining all about their NESLL games, etc.. Luckily none of them were on my team. It was a nice change to go from a town league where 3-4 kids a team can catch and throw with both hands to my NESLL team where most of the kids were determined to improve and do well. I think it is incredibly easy to get into as long as your not down in South Central. They seem to take it way more seriously than anyone else so I'm guessing their coach is more selective about kids to take. I had a good experience with NESLL and I got to meet a lot of good players and coaches from around the area. You could look into the Tomahawks too. I played them in a tournament. I think we beat them but I don't really remember.

they changed the nesll leagues this year
instead of NESLL and NEDLL, there's NESLL Black, which is the best players, and NESLL Blue, which is the "Best of the rest"
Everyone gets the same equipment

I don't reccomend trying out for NESLL. I made the New Hampshire team last year and hated it. It's really unorganized. Kids would just show up for games and my coach would let them play. I thought it was really stupid. But anyways, i'm pretty sure that they do tryouts like a point system. You get a point for everything you do right and then you subtract a point from what you do wrong. Whoever has the most points at the end of the tryout makes the team. So if you're trying out try to make as few mistakes as possible.

Agreed. Most of the players who play NESLL are all cocky showboats and usually can't back up what they brag about.

If you're good, try out for Team New Hampshire. I played them at Champ Camp and they were pretty good.

everyone has theirr own opinion abotu NESLL....i dotn know much abotu the u-13 and u-15 divisions because after i made teh team my mom made me quit because of grades...however the tournament teams (u-17 and u-19) are very good, arguably better than top gun...at champ camp the u-19 finished tied for 7th while top gun didnt even win their division....so i guess it depends on what you are trying otu for

kjg is right and for u-13 and 15 it is dependant on what region u liv in, there is a big difference in south central's team, and northwest's team (one is very good and one could be beat by a couple town teams)

Tex71

also the metro north team is very good its pretty much metro north and south central that are good teams

nesll is dead, just try out for the thawks, we went undefeated at home, and at umass..and beat the conn team in jersey and we almost won the N.E. championship vs. the fighting clams down at tristate....

I made the NH NESLL team this year. There were some pretty good kids at the tryout, but there was also some very poorly skilled players there too.

Is the tomahawks just for HS kids?

It's for kids who are either going into H.S. or who are already in H.S. It's fun because you get to play with kids that you are going to be facing for your H.S. career.

I played NESLL this year and it was pretty fun, and yes there were a few kids who could barley catch and throw, but it was still a level above your average town team.
