You can't convert AAC to MP3, it is illegal. So there are no programs.

I do it all the time on itunes. Isn't AAC what is on cd's? How would that be illegal. And there are plenty of programs, just google. it.

As for pros/cons, MP3 takes up less space but is lower quality.

No, AAC is what you get off of iTunes.

So then don't you convert it by right clicking on it and selecting "Convert to MP3"?

Whats the file size difference between AAC and MP3's? say AAC is 3mb how much would a MP3 be? I hate MP3's, so low quality...

The only AAC files u can't convert are the ones you buy off itunes. To convert those files you either burn em onto a cd and rip em off that or you use one of the programs shown above.

Yes you can, you can do it in itunes just right click on any ACC song and then there is a "convert selection to MP3" option that you click and itunes converts it to mp3 format for you.

And how is it illgal? providing you legaly purchased the music you can convert it to whatever format you want.

itunes won't convert the songs you bought from them. that is why a lot of people hate them and use other music stores that give you freedom to do whatever you want with you files. like i said before there are ways around this though.
