I searched, yet failed to find what I was looking for.

I was recently warned for an offensive avatar (nine points worth for those keeping score at home).

I treasure my membership here, and certainly don't want to run afoul of the law again.

So, can a moderator or administrator please write a set of rules for what is, and what isn't permissible for avatars and post them somewhere accessible.

Much appreciated, love RockStar.

As a rule of thumb, if its not appropriate for 10 year olds, don't go there.

Thanks for the input, but none of you guys make the rules here.

I want it explained by the guys that do.

i'll point this thread out to the people who do write the rules

Read the guidelines thread: http://www.lacrosseforums.com/showthread.php?t=10615

First:

The following seven categories of online conduct are unacceptable on The
Lacrosse Forums and constitute a violation of our Community Standards which may result in warning, suspension or loss of membership:

Vulgarity and Sexual Explicitness...As a community with a diverse variety of members and readers, we ask that our members post without using vulgarity.Vulgarity not only includes vulgar language and pictures but also sexist, racist, anti-religious and homophobic language which may offend other members. In addition, the "masking" of vulgarity by inserting * or another keystroke in place of one or more letters in a vulgar term is unacceptable. We realize that there's a "grey area" of judgement with vulgarity but we ask that you'll respect others by avoiding vulgarity.

Second:

Posters must refrain from posting any material that:
B.Is obscene, vulgar, or profane
F.Contains adult Content, nudity, or pornography
G.Is inappropriate to children under the age of 12
L.Contains links to any of the above offensive material
M.Any other material that Inside Lacrosse deems inappropriate
